Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

maybe the consciousness works on a quantum level where and when space and time does not matter much. "Information" is not lost, just "recycled"?

Yes, that seems to be the consensus among many independent sources of information I've come across. What was new and fascinating in this video was the description of particular experiences from people who had their non-human past lives.
