Hallo,

i am a newbie in mining.
My question is, what you can recommend. Mining with a asic miner or build a own rig?
If building a rig is better which hardware is working good.
if i understand right the difficulty of the asic mining grow very fast.

thanks for your help

If you can get your hands on the first batch of a new asic great. If you build a rig make sure you have low electricity costs. My remcommendation is buying coins instead of building a rig.

Take the money you planned to invest and buy:

40% BTC
20% Altcoins (pick a few from the top 30)
25% ICO's
10% Random Altcoins you think they gonna boost
5% Hardware wallets (Ledger Nano S / Trezor)

I bought a 4 GPU mining rig 3 (1070) month ago and realized after 1 month it's not profitable. After 1 month expected annual return went from 17 to 12 ETH and is now at ~7.

Hope this helps

I agree, with that kind of the sum is just buy a coins. I think this is a much better solution.

for me if you can decrease the frequency of the GPU i am recommending AMD RX Vega 64 or 56 as they are far better in mining the bitcoin or ethereum, base on a report. you will need some mining specific motherboard as well to increase the efficiency of mining.
