I wish someone counted the times China has banned bitcoin. the number is lost throughout history. I have counted 4 times already that the Chinese have allegedly banned bitcoin and each time it affected the price greatly like this last week.

The only think that they ban for sure is ICO. There were talk that they ban bitcoin but with no supporting news or articles, this was more for them to buy cheap bitcoin before he started to rise again.
They didnt actually said that they would ban Bitcoin itself but they do only tend to ban ICO and regulate exchanges which it somehow affect its price specially into those times but eventually it did able to recover up in few weeks and the fud about on the end of the month of september on where exchanges would be closed i didnt hear any news and seems the price isnt really affected at all since it somehow stabilizes on those ranges and now we are climbing up again for 5k usd. We are now and im glad to see again the price of 4.4 range which we can assume it would rise even more on this month.

Bitcoin's buy and sell value dropped dramatically over the weekend. Has China had something to do with it?

The news from China certainly affected the price, thankfully now though all the weak hands have been shaken out & we are now returning to near the previous price.

Yes thats true. Bitcoin price deflated for almost 10% , I think thats because China banned bitcoin in their country, we shoukd acxwpt and see the fact that China has been one of greatest and most influential contributor of world's economy as well as in in the bitcoin community but even though that they banned it already bitcoin has started to bring back its value which is giving us a hope that speculations about bitcoins's end will end definitely cause it can stand alone.

There were two things that dropped the bitcoin price temporarily.

China closing exchanges and at the same time JP Morgan claimed that bitcoin is the biggest scam in the history!

As we are currently back at $4,400, you can see that no single action can affect the bitcoin price longterm and this is the advantage of a decentralized and for people useful system.
China has lost his importance in crypto market and now there will be no hold of Chinese in this field bitcoin is successfully surviving without them and no other harms are done to this and this shows that bitcoin is not depending on any nation it is independent and it will progress by its investors not by countries, so china is in past now.

Around the time when ban happened, yes it affected price of Bitcoin. But on longer terms, we see that it did't affect it. Price is a bit below, than it was back than, but it is not that much important.
Because of China's ban people got afraid, starting to fear about losing their money, which led to selling their Bitcoins. Things like that happens a lot, because there are a lot of inexperienced people dealing with Bitcoin. Price of Bitcoin fluctuate a lot, and all who deal with Bitcoin for long time know that it is something normal. So when something major like China's ban happen, fear is what leading people to panicky selling.
So my opinion is that at the end China's ban didn't affect price of Bitcoin.

Yes a drop was before some days.
But now its ok. It will pump again I believe this. No one can fully stop the bitcoin. Its now worldwide.
So don't worry about it.

I think it's of course this will greatly affect the price. After all, China is the most progressive country in the crypto currency market.
I think the market will fall very much if the BTC is banned in China! Angry Undecided

After china decided to ban Bitcoin the price is reduce not only that another local exchanger also get frozen. In this issue make Bitcoin down, no wonder there are also many investors who invest in Bitcoin. But a few days later Bitcoin price recovered and back to $4200.

JP Morgan's Dimon's statement really didn't have any impact on the value of bitcoins at all, It was really all about the closing of the exchanges which dropped the price and further rumors that the Chinese were planning to ban Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. With every challenge thrown at it, Bitcoin seems to come back even stronger than before.

They did not banned bitcoins. They banned ICOS. And those ICOS were banned because of FUD and they believed that ICOS are just scam in their country. And so they created their own bitcoin.

Yes most of peoples not understanding this rightly and speaking out rumors which are not good China is not going to ban bitcoins its just for ICO's which is right because already many scams and this is not only in China some other countries also banning ICO's for better protection of peoples money I believe its not going to hurt bitcoins price

Yes, China have caused a huge impact on bitcoin prices to drop since the Chinese government announced the ban on ICOs, and issued the orders to shut down all crypto-currencies exchanges that operates in China, I guess it will take quite a while for the price of bitcoin to recover to its original high before the drop.

yes! its absolutely affect the price of bitcoin when china banned it, because we know that the country china is have a great role in the industry and in the terms of bitcoin. its a high percent on china. so if they banned it, it can affect the price its really falling down the value of bitcoin and its possible that the other alternative coins will surpass the bitcoin value if it continue. but i believe that the bitcoin user in the china makes plan and move to make china back again in the world of bitcoin because they love it.

Bitcoin price is affected by China government banning ICO but not as a big as expected because the price of BTC bounces back after its announcement it means that BTC is still stronger in spite the odds ,meaning it is not easily be manipulated by any economic turmoil, kudos BTC.

Price of bitcoin rise and falls in seconds. The news of china banned bitcoin is fake and if its true it will effect on bitcoin for a little while and it's value will rise or come to normal again. So you don't have to worry about China banning Bitcoin in China. Don't sell Bitcoin cheap by panicking.

Yes, because of some issues ico Nan has taken effect over the entire digital currency network. Little by little the price keeps on increasing and now it has retained the value from which it started to go downwards. Without doubt the impact felt over bitcoin because the issue is simply big.

I think it has affected the price when the ban it,
The price crash down and some bitcoin owners did panic so they have some effect in the price because of it.

Yes of course. because china is one of the big player in bitcoin. the price will surely fall due to market sentiment which indicates a negative response caused by FUD. but after some time Bitcoin surely will show better growth ever.
You are right bitcoin was being use very highly in the china. The bitcoin is being use by almost everyone. The price of the bitcoin will grow more if the use of the bitcoin will be high. Bitcoin will not be affected if the china will ban bitcoin because as the china is using bitcoin the same way a lot of the other countries are using bitcoin and they are taking the profit.
The banning was actually a disaster. It affected not only the prices but the holders also. People start panic selling out due to which the price further decreased. China was one of the greatest supporters who welcomed bitcoin warmly.

However, it was not trying to kill bitcoin rather trying to save the investors from frauds. I have heard about regulated ICOs from China now.
