How is is different from usual social networks like Facebook? Why do you think parents should create a new profile on new (and less popular) website instead of creaing a new or finding already created group on fb? Imho fb groups seem to be more attractive simply because it is easier to monetize them.
Hi,
thank you for your feedback and question. The main difference from other social networks - multi profiles.
For example, you have 3 kids, so on FB you should have 4 profile pages (your page + 3 pages for your kids). And each time you have to switch between your profiles (timelines). Infantoo offers you a multi profiling: you can manage as much kids as you have from your account. + Your spouse (wife or husband), who is marked in the system as spouse, has an access to your kid profiles too (can manage timeline pages). Also on FB you can not store kid info like growth, weight and etc. Infantoo is more specific (parents and kids oriented) social network. Also one interesting function that was already implemented in our prototype (and I've never seen something similar in other social networks before) - basic genealogy. Example: you connect with someone (name Max) and mark that you and Max are brothers: after approve you will have new relations: Max -your brother, Max's kids - your nephews and nieces, Max is an uncle for your kids, Max's kids and your kids are cousins and etc. Infantoo will try detect your relations and build family network automatically. Additionally we are planing a lot of interesting (family specified) features in the future.
I am a father and I know that this problem really exists and will be great to have service similar like that.
