Hi
Posted this on stack exchange and ETH forums but haven't got any reply yet - hopefully somebody here will help.

I'm on Ethereum Wallet 0.9.0 and I need to add the ICO token addresses every time I restart the wallet.
I've got some PLAY and KC tokens. Whenever I import them, they appear (with the correct quantities), but the positions don't get saved after I exit the wallet. How do I solve this?

That would qualify as a workaround, wouldn't it?

Is there a fundamental issue with the Ethereum Wallet, or am I doing anything wrong? Also, what are the other benefits of using MyEtherWallet as opposed to Ethereum Wallet?

It happens also in my ether wallet, I don't know if anybody experienced this problem but I think it is related to especially new tokens. I don't know also how to fix this problem.

Don't you think to change your wallet to MyEtherWallet? There is no such kind of problems at MEW as I know. And migration process is just copy-paste the private key)

Same thing on MyEtherWallet for me. I have to reenter Token Details to see them everytime i close the wallet.
Maybe it`s a cookie thing. I don`t know but maybe someone else has a solution.

I hope you don't mean ethereum-wallet.net or some shit like that anyway, because these are scam wallets, risky to use. MyEtherWallet is at least the most trusted one. Plus, you secure the wallet via private keys. I honestly don't understand what kind of problem do you have, for I've never dealt with icos, but I think that contacting support team of your wallet would be best.

I'm using the locally installed, highly official "Ethereum Wallet", the one that downloads the entire blockchain. No dodgy web-based thinggy.

I think this is a very feasible solution here. As I do not have problem using myetherwallet and its easy to used. Problem is they do not have an app I think since its an online wallet. You can try to open here your wallet @OP and then check in ethplorer or etherscan for your other tokens.

Tbh I hate the idea of pasting my private keys into a web-based wallet. Too much hacking going on. There's gotta be a solution to the local wallet issue? Or is it effectively a bug?

Why even use a eth wallet use mew like everyone else suggested. There are some issues with mew also now it takes time to load the tokens we have but it eventually shows up after couple of minutes. For wallet maybe because of the update the saved tokens are lost just add the address ans decimal again it should work. Just switch to mew you don't have to sync and is more safer.

If you talking about mew they just display your wallet details they don't have any information about your wallet even the password.

There is no way a web-based wallet will ever be

more safer
than a local wallet.

I will not give MEW a try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Looks like I will stick to my official & buggy wallet.

Ethereum s all wallets are buggy. I guess its all about how many tokens are getting newly added their problem. Their code isn't easily handling new tokens.

Looks like it. Oh well, I'll have to live with it. Just weird that I'm not even getting proper answers on the Ethereum Stack Exchange either. Kinda says it all...
