Hi,

During 2013 I was mining some very small fragments of bitcoins and used The Armory (v0.88.1-beta) to store them.
I setup a machine as an offline machine after following the instuctions. And made a paper backup of my wallet.
I then also made a successful watch only copy on an online machine again with armory v0.88.1-beta.
From early 2014 I stopped mining and stop running the armory.

Ive now come to try to view my balance and I notice its missing all transactions prior to 21 Nov 2013.
After this date all transactions agree with my own kept records.

So I downloaded the current Bitcoin core v0.14.2 and left my online PC to download the full block chain.
Once completed I downloaded and installed the latest version of The Armory v0.96.2 and made sure under settings that
the Bitcoin install Dir and Bitcoin Home Dir where correct.

I then restored my wallet from my paper backup.
My Transactions after 20 Nov 2013 to date were shown, but no prior transactions are there.

In the Armoryv0.96.2 on my online machine under Help I tried 1. Re scan Balance 2. Re scan Database 3. Rebuild and Re scan database
But all have the same issue, there are still no transactions before 20 Nov 2013.

Has anyone any idea why my historic (pre 20 Nov 2013) transactions are missing from my balance?

Should I try deleting the block chain and re downloading it again?

Thanks for reading.

Do you see any mining rewards?

Yes. All mining rewards and a few mBTC I purchased after 21 Nov 2013 are there and correct.

It isn't just mining that's missing before this date it's all transactions. I had purchased once or twice very small mBTC pre 21 Nov 2013, these aren't showing either.

Thanks for trying to help, it's greatly appreciated to know users are around that can help.

How did you come to this conclusion? Is the total balance off? Are the entries missing in the ledger?

Hi,

I can see my transactions from 21 Nov 2013 to current date, displayed correctly on screen. These perfectly agree with my personal record keeping. However the final balance is off by the exact amount ( I always kept a separate personal record of amounts) of all my transactions before 20 Nov 2013, none of which are shown in the display on screen.

Thanks again for taking the time to help.

You can't scroll down to reveal these?

Do you have several wallets? Play with the wallet selector drop down list on the bottom left of the lobby.

Yes I can scroll down, but it still only shows transactions after 21 Nov 2013.

Yes I have two wallets, and yes I have selected sometimes all, sometimes one sometimes the other. Either way I can't see transactions on my first wallet before 20 Nov 2013.

My second wallet only ever had transactions occur after 21 Nov 2013 and therefore displays correctly all my transactions and final balance.

Show me your log files. Also, can you see balance on the individual addresses prior to Nov 2013? Look in the wallet properties dialog.

Which .txt file do you require?

When it failed to work on my online PC, I uninstalled the program and shredder the remaining directory including the wallet files. For safety reasons until I could figure it out. As the PC is mainly online.

I will now restore from backup and get back to you with which ever log file you require.

Thank you for taking the time to help.

How many addresses do you have in your wallets? The log suggests you may have maybe 10 or 20, and that you only have 5~6 transactions in there total. There is a gap in your blockchain data but I don't tihnk that's the culprit considering when you performed these tx vs when the gap appears. Also the gap is benign.

I see nothing prior to 21 Nov 2013

I have only restored the one wallet that was missing funds. (I used to run Armory with 2 wallets).

On this single wallet I have 3 addresses I can see under Address/View Address book.

These 3 address have a total of 7 transactions. Which is the same number that displays on my main screen when I first start up the Armory.

The oldest transaction date from my main screen I can see is 22 Nov 2013.

Extend your wallets' address chain.
