But what if forum moderation policies change and those coins get banned?  Huh
Wouldn't it be safer to have copies of these coins in other forums?  Grin

I know a guy in Utah!

Seriously, I love this thread. Albeit, created tongue-in-cheek, I think, therefore I am penning this, that this Abstract Coin thingy has the potential of sproutin' legs. Maybe not in its current iteration, but tweaked and relaunched, it could do better.

That said, <not-so-serious-mode-on> we need a foundation. I suggest that the founding members be pillars of the Abstract Coin community, with Adam as the chief scientist. And yes, it's a paying position, as has already been demonstrated--Adam pays himself.

The Abstract Coin genesis block should include the following news headline: US Government Seizes LibertyReserve.com

<serious mode> People are weird! They're probably more apt to get their head wrapped around Abstract Coin then Bitcoin.

Abstract Coin should be designed so that it's never capable of laundering money. Although laundering crypto-currency may be one of its uses.

Adam, what's the current market cap of Abstract Coin?

Benefits of Abstract Coin:

  • No electricity cost associated with it since no mining rigs are use.
  • One only has, and will be ever created, albeit divisible by X.

Feel free to add to the above.

LMAO,

i think Abstract Coin has some potential, but in it current form it is hard to verify claims to Abstract Coins, hopefully i can come up with a way to overcome this difficulty.

in the meantime, I have code to write as i am a depth slave   Lips sealed

once i have given all my coins away i will attempt to buy them all back at the rate of  0.2BTC / 1AC

or not...

more than likely someone will hack it start creating Abstract Coins in MASS, and they will be worthless  Cry

Here it is! So currently the potential market cap of Abstract Coin is 0.2BTC. Is that correct?

Did you sign up to get in the queue?

Why did Al the Alpaca get 0.05AC and I only got 0.01AC? The SOB tried to blackmail you, then he's awarded.

Also, why is this thread lagging during the sell-off, but speeds up during the buy-back?

Yeah, it's total bullshit that he got 0.05AC. Good thing is that he is selling them for only $100. I wouldn't even sell 0.01AC for that amount! Cheap Abstraction!

I concur! On a positive note, between Al's offer to sell, you claiming the price is too low, and me concurring such, we now have a better market cap estimate.

1AC = $2,000 USD/15.16 BTC

All users of AC-beta versions 0.1 and earlier are required to upgrade to 0.2 or apply a manual workaround by May 15, 2014.

I propose that all further Abstract Coins be given away by Adam in no larger than 0.01AC within a certain time frame, possibly one month. If the task is too much of a burden on him, then he should give authority to some trusted members to help complete the task by allowing them to also give away AC on this thread.

Odd, that he saved the only thing valuable in his home.

On a side note, I just discovered the hand gesture used to recognize fellow AbstractCoinUrs:

Coming Soon!

A representative of Abstract Coin has just closed a deal to get the first ever restaurant to accept AC. Apologies for not disclosing which restaurant, but here's proof that the meeting did take place. As you can see, the proprietors seem keenly interested.
