Hi all.  My bitcointalk account viking02 got hacked about a week ago.  I noticed i could not log into my account and it said wrong password but i didn't think much about it.  Then when i clicked on restore password to my email address connected to my bitcointalk account, i noticed i did not get any email on this.  Not only this, i noticed i got a lot of email recently from ICOs like buy this ico etc.

My viking02 profile

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=354663

I then clicked on my viking02 profile and then i noticed they have a picture/text of COMSA ICO.  Not only that, it even has a signature with COMSA at the bottom.  And it has even has a bitcoin address.  I did not ever put anything on my profile address ever.  I check the posts and this user has been making many posts and even in one post, he POSTED on a thread called stake your bitcoin address.  I took a look at that thread and its for posters to post their bitcoin address in case they ever get hacked etc.  So either this hacker or person who bought a hacked account did this so he would have proof of ownership of my account.

The thing is i never posted my bitcoin address anywhere in a post.  However, i did give my bitcoin address to another user when they paid me a very tiny amount of btc.  Would that work to restore my bitcointalk account back?  I would message that user who i remember his username here if he still has my old private messages?  The thing is that guy is a legendary poster on this forum.

So right now, what can i do on this issue?  Can someone tell me when was the last time my account viking02 got the account password and email changed?  When i looked through the threads here, someone mentioned they got their account hacked and someone else checked and said your details got changed on so and so etc.  Can someone tell me when my information was changed around?

My account is from a few years back and is a hero account.  I read that they hack these accounts to make money from promoting icos and that must be true since this poster has a COMSA ICO up.  The thing is im not sure exactly how i got hacked.  I did change my password a while back as well.

I have emailed not only the mods but a few other members here who post on this forum for their advice.  So far i only got one bitcointalk member who messaged me back and told me to email the 2 mods theymos and cyrus but havent gotten any reply back.

If i cannot get my account back, can the mods freeze/ban the viking02 account then?

And can someone tell me if they could get their account back if they were in same situation as me?  I read you can get it back with a signature but i did send my btc address to someone via PM.  If that other user has that private message still, couldn't that still work?  Thanks.

Bitcoin mining is now a specialized and very risky industry, just like gold mining. Amateur miners are unlikely to make much money, and may even lose money. Bitcoin is much more than just mining, though!

You will need to sign a message from an address known to yours (an address you've used quite a while ago).
Without that you little to zero chance of a moderator getting you your account back.

You need to be able to prove it is yours. I do know that the mods can take quite a long time to respond to PM's any way.

Well wouldn't i need to have typed that bitcoin address on a post a while back then?

The thing is i never posted my btc address anywhere in posts or on my profile page.  However i have sent my btc address to another user as he paid me a very tiny amount of btc a while back.  So if that user who is a legendary user on this forum still has those private messages, would that work or not?

The other thing is could someone here tell me when this user changed my password and email address?  This has to be around a week or so as that was when i could not log into my account.

The thing is if i could not get my account back, can't the mods freeze or ban my viking02 account then?  I would like my account back but if i cannot, i want that account banned.

Also i read lot of threads about posters getting their accounts hacked recently.  So i would like to know how was this even done.

I don't think that would work since it's not public. The staked address are public for a reason.I'm not sure though, maybe admins will consider it.

Search for your hacked account's username here : https://bitcointalk.org/seclog.php

They won't ban the account, instead you can prove the ownership of the account and ask DT members to leave negative feedback so the account would still be useless.

I already private messaged the other user who is a legendary account holder on this issue.  He told me most likely the mods wont reply back but said if i could get the mod to private message him for validation, then he would do it.  Of course the issue is the mods i read take a very long time to reply back to anyone who has their account hacked.  I mean theres posters here who sent private messages a long time ago and still havent heard back and they even have the signature i believe.

Here is another thing.  Could't the mods just take a look at the IP address of the hacker vs mine?  They would clearly see the ip addresses are different?  And that my viking02 account IP address and the one i created just now is the same whereas the hacker using my viking02 account is using an ip address that is not close to mine etc?  Wouldnt that pretty much ring alarm bells to the mods?

What is DT members?   Yes i want my hacked account to have negative feedback if i cannot get my account back

Contacted the user. Awaiting the reported PM containing his BTC address.

Actually if there's some evidence that account is hacked it will be blocked until there is enough evidence to recover it.

If you can't prove it's yours, why do you expect to recover it?

The person who i sent a pm to a while back with my btc address tells me he PM'ed that message to mods.  This is when he paid me a very tiny amount of btc.

Can someone tell me exactly how im suppose to do the proof?  I have the same btc address but what do i have to do exactly here?  The thing is at least the hacker got frozen so that is good.
