What is going on with Bitstamp?
I deposited a larger ammount of sum with bitstamp and asked support about it on the 8th as i was in a hurry with clients wanting bitcoins.

And the answer i got on the 9th was:
Quote
Dear xxxxxxx,

thank you for reaching out.

Your deposit has arrived to our bank account and is currently pending to be processed. Should we require any additional information for the purpose of payment processing, we will reach out via our ticket system.

If you have any additional questions in the meantime, please feel free to ask.

And some days after i inquire again when nothing shows up in my account there...
Quote
Dear xxxxxx,

thank you for your reply.

Since we have been experiencing increased demand in general, this procedure may take longer as usual, but I am unfortunately unable to provide you with the exact time frame.

Please rest assured that our payments department shall process your deposit as soon as they can.

I sincerely appreciate your understanding and patience in the matter. If there is anything else I may do for you in the meantime, please feel free to ask.

Best regards,
Andreja xxxxx

and again after i get same standard reply.

I had been using Bitstamp because usually in the past funds arrived the same day or the day after but i guess i can forget about using them now if it starts to take 10days+ to deposit...

(and yes i did al my aml etc checks with them before)

That was before. The now factor is what counts. They do active checks with external AML and anti-fraud verification systems which can take quite some time. Discreet checks too using the SWIFT messaging system to confirm MT103 instructions for very large sums. And exchanges authorised to operate in the EU do queries and checks on the Europol's FIU computer system when substantial amounts are being moved.

Expect delays but you will eventually see your funds credited. It's never going to be an instant process. Your clients will have to wait for their bitcoins a bit longer, unfortunately.

so now everything is to be checked against some slow and dated system?  Huh
But come on checks taking over 11days is just a joke... and its not hundreds of thousands we are talking about here now. its a few thousand.
anything to make it difficult i guess to move to bitcoin for people...

I'm experiencing the same problem : deposit made on Sept 11 and money still stuck in their "processing" system...
 Huh
Furthermore, I just had an answer last thursday (six days ago) with the answer "...currently pending to be processed", and nothing since then, even though I asked for more information.
They should explain how on earth it can take more than ten days to "process" the money that is actually already on their bank account ! And at least, even though it actually takes much more time they should answer their Clients' messages ; it could last forever, and you stay in the dark, with your money "nowhere"....
Are they actually using this large amount of treasury to earn money for their own profit ?
This is a very bad customer experience with Bitstamp.

It looks similar to what happened to many of us.
No need to panic : they seem to be just very late on "processing" the deposits - whatever it actually means... I would understand a couple of days, but more than a week, it reminds me of old times when banks kept money from transfers and deposits, for a couple of days, simply because they could earn interests with the huge total amount of all their clients' "in-process" money... I'm not saying that Bitstamp does the same, but it is definitely dificult to find a reasonable explanationn now that the rush on their website to buy BTC during the "dip" in value is over.

Probably a security measure. It's most likely something happening with your specific account that is making them down your authenticity. Which need to do is start digging their first and then go outward from that point. The first place to always look at this the website itself and the relationship of your account with that website. Delays in deposit / withdrawal does not always means that site can scam. Be patient and see it will resolve soon.

I have same issue. i sent 12K USD deposit. they told me money is in their bank account it is ok. But not credit to my account for days.
I can wait its ok but the problem is they dont inform customers why we wait or how long we will wait more.  Embarrassed

And i wonder my friends, how did you solve this situation? and how long did you wait until your balance credit to your account?
