I went to log in today and the password did not work also the password recovery email was never received.  I checked the latest posts and looks like someone has taken control of it around the end of July since that's when the random posting started.  They also changed my nice alien avatar (some of you may recognize it) and are now promoting some banking ico  Cry

Why was there no confirmation email sent when the email address associated with the account was changed??

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

So I haven't heard back from the mods.  I don't seem to have an address posted to sign to but have all the pm messages and other messages that have been sent to my email since I opened the account in 2013.  I got a pm from the account hacker/user stating that they bought it from someone.  I offered them a reward for being honest and returning the account but they claimed I would need to submit a signed message same as the forum which is rather cute.  Are there any other options to regain access of the account or have it frozen at least?  Don't really want to bargain with the guy since he could be the hacker himself despite what he says.
