It is the other way around "China needs bitcoin" or I say "Bitcoin is better without China".. Bitcoin doesn't need any support from government to survive,, it is developed to be decentralized  and out of any government contol and policy.. If they want to regulate bitcoin in the first place they should have announced it and not downplay for being rumors.. They've planned for bitcoin price down but those days won't last.. Bitcoin recovers.. Again..

It's really not that simple, since having exchanges around is always a good thing as more people are able to access bitcoin easily. With a bitcoin-friendly government it is probably a lot easier to spread the idea of bitcoin than with a bitcoin hostile government. This goes without saying ofc.

However as you said, bitcoin can indeed survive without China.

People will still trade in China, and still buy bitcoins. Tehy'll just do it another way. It's not like China is gone forever.

I don't know how they're government react when one of they're citizens will not follow them because I'm not aware of how they implement such policy.. But if it is forbidden to do so,, I will stop and never do that and wait for the change of heart of my government officials.. China might not be gone forever but I will not change my idea of a much better bitcoin community without them..
China not is a strong country can control the price of Bitcoin in this year, if the Chinese government really want to give up Bitcoin, United States or Russia or Japan will replace China earn profit from this field. But China not stupid to give up Bitcoin, after all only the FUD created by them.

I agree to that mate.. Even japan alone can handle those investments because they have legalized bitcoin in that country.. China is just making noises to gain some attention.. Like a child play and china doesn’t really mature of how they think... It was not meant to regulate they want to own and be the center of the Blockchain technology and of the bitcoin community that is obviously impossible..
Right mate! What's with China? Why does it suddenly become the issue with bitcoin. For all we know bitcoin can continue even without China. China may be successful with their cheaper goods but the trading is not just to them. They have many low quality products and so if they exist how good they are at investments in bitcoin, that's another venture to see because China has made a big trouble in every country so let's be ready that even without China we can still continue living.

It's chinese people who seem to really like or loving bitcoin, they are happy because they can make so many profits out of the bitcoin existence and their government? I think not.
the government are trying to prevent bitcoin disrupting their economic and by that they release the regulation.

I believe the news leaks of the Chinese government's ban on Bitcoin trading and perhaps also Bitcoin mining are not FUD anymore. We have seen BTCC and ViaBTC releasing announcements that they will terminate their exchanges by the end of this month. The rest doubtlessly will also follow.

What will happen to "a Bitcoin" without China? Do we really need them to reach new highs?

nothing would really happen to bitcoin without china because as you see thesedays bitcoin is back and still increasing and soon will skyrocket and reaches to the moon, no matter what crisis its facing. the storm has passed and theres a new season that is blooming on to bitcoins and lastly we wont be dead without china or other countries and online exchanges.

Same thing here, Bitcoin does not need china, The loss of one country does not mean the end of the world for us. Bitcoin is a currency for international, it does not mean a currency centralization in a country like China. Therefore, the opportunity from bitcoin is for everyone and It's still profitable because it's still on rising their value.

Bitcoin growth is not dependent on a specific country, bitcoin has become a global currency now without any centralized authority. Bitcoin will reach the new heights and will set new benchmarks in future too even without China. BTW soon china will remove its ban on Bitcoin when they will realize their mistake.

You have mistaken, as per my know, the Chinese government did not ban Bitcoin, they only banned the ICO market and the cryptocurrency exchange. I do not think the Chinese government will remove their ban on these field because almost the cryptocurrency exchanges and ICO projects transfered to other countries on the world, example HongKong.

Although some rumors said that btc will fall down but i don't think so. Owing to cChina banned bitcoin and After fall down 3000$ ,  bitcoin is start to growing up and now the price of bitcoin is around 4322$ and i think bitcoin will hit 5000$ or more at the end of this October without china. Now China maybe realise that Bitcoin don't care about anyone. Besides it is good time to buy bitcoin and makes profit from bitcoin.

Whether they remove the ban over the ICO or not is not gonna be a big concern to the digital currency market. All that required is the active participation of the people into bitcoin related activities. For conversation we can say that, even without China bitcoin could have flourished big, but that's not the real fact. If China haven't initiated adoption and if it haven't encouraged digital currency we could have never reached this place this earlier. So China's contributions were required throughout.

They cannot really introduce any rule perse as bitcoin cannot be controlled and it seems it has proven itself as such after the whole Chinese FUD. You cannot blame china though as all they are trying to do is not to admit anything that will go against their monetary policy or affect their economy in a way and they are trying to be careful not to fully do that and at the same time not to declare that they hate bitcoin. As time goes on, they will just have to stick with one.

Well, I guess the market has given us a resounding answer in the last day: China is no longer critical to making new highs.  Japan and South Korea seem to have filled in the space left by China, and the increased positive chatter from large financial institutions (e.g., Goldman Sachs) may well be drawing in new investors.  Additionally, just because China has shut down their exchanges, that doesn't mean that Chinese investors have sold all of their bitcoins.  They could still be holding, hoping that BTC -> Yuan trading will resume at some point.

We no more need china or russia for progress of bitcoin.Bitcoin would survive without china.Only chinese investors have to suffer as they would not be able to dominate bitcoin market here after.Bitcoin price has almost reached $5,661 today despite china's actions against bitcoin.

But regarding mining, definitely we would have to suffer due to late confirmation of transactions as majority of mining farms are located in china. It would take a little bit time for mining farms to be set in other parts of the world.

But,it would definitely be helpful for bringing once again decentralization in bitcoin.

A FUD can not keep in a long time, you need to know the FUD only helps the people created this FUD have benefit, of course I can say the Chinese government or Dimon - CEO JP.Morgan are who have benefit after that FUD.

I think China only plays a role to disrupt some bitcoin market in the world. they seem to have a plan for a particular purpose. I see it like that china wants to earn a profit. although this is all unproven but I feel that there is something odd and certainly most people feel that way. china that has the largest number of bitcoin users can indeed affect the bitcoin price easily.

Large scale traders as well large volume holders can easily create FUD and circulate among the entire user network. In less time. This creates a panic situation among the users who have few or less number of bitcoin in hands. Making this as an opportunity those large volume holders benefit buying low from the small holders. Here nothing to correlate China, which is a legendary participant paving path for digital growth.

Bitcoin is a global currency, it doesn't need any particular country. And it is clear that with current adoption rates btc can grow without China. It will be much faster with them but they are expendables.

According to zerohedge, part of the reason for the bitcoin rally last night to $5900 was a rumour that would reinstate the exchanges!

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2017-10-12/bitcoin-explodes-5600-30-end-chinas-golden-week-holiday

It's nonsense of course. No big country bans and unbans stuff on a monthly basis. I think this was just a rumour put out there to persuade the guillible to buy at the top (and to allow some whales to sell at the top).
