It never reached at exact $5k yet. The highest price of bitcoin was $4,950 on 1 Sep, 2017 (according to CoinDesk), and after that, it has been lowering down in which the China incident happened which took it down to $3,226 on Sept 14, 2017. But after all that, the price has not been going down again, and we are already halfway to reach $5k, and soon that can be reached too, if nothing serious occurs again.

No doubt with that speculation because bitcoin are strong currency and even without Chinese country bitcoin can stand alone. Moreover, there's a lot of country who wants to take over the position of China in crypto currency society and I think they have a capacity to continue it. In additional there's a lot of users and supporters are believing to the ability of bitcoin and they also given their fully trust to this coins so it is impossible to destroy the bitcoin in crypto currency world.

Personally I will say "yes" for sure there's no doubt about it, Price of bitcoin can reach $5.000. Bitcoin will have good future by increasing price.Because  bitcoin not just depends on China only.

Yes we can, even without China we can reach even new All time highs but they are a big market changer and it's better if they will still get into bitcoin. They can pump the market any time they want but with the FUD that was spread last time we've seen on how they can also make the price low but after that everyone is not riding with those FUDs anymore so we are good without them.

I have read from some threads that China wanting to regulate btc ICO again and other btc operations, yet now even without China services on or attention on ,btc is can cope up on the situation slowly but atleast its increasing.

Yes, China has been with plans of regulating bitcoin as well other ICO's in a much perfect manner. This initiation is to reduce the China's influence on bitcoin. As the price keeps increasing, the value might cross the $5000 and to have this price contained it's a must to have the contribution of China.

As what we observe nowadays, bitcoin price are almost there and there is a big chances to increase its price in the coming days. It's just that the platform they are conducting these trades are different now. Instead of exchanges, they are using localbitcoins increasingly and private trades conducted through wechat pay/alipay.

Even though the price has dropped initially when the news came out that China would ban ICOs and exchanges, right now the price has recovered significantly and seems to be intent in breaking $4500.

bitcoiners from china could just find a way to do trade or keep their trading activities as they say, their coverage isnt just limited to their country but also outside their country, what if the china bitcoiners moving to other country that accept bitcoin and do trading there? it's really possible since they are trading not small money but big money.

I think, it can. Bitcoin's value is now increasing after the downfall that resulted in China banning exchanges and ICO. From its price before which is 4800, it fell down to 3300$ but it is now again priced at 4200 which proves that Bitcoin can still be successful without China. I think it will be able to break the 5000$ mark before this year ened especially if the hardfork that will happen in Novembember will succeed like the previous one, that made the value of Bitcoin to reach the 4k mark drom 2800 and hoping that same thing will happen in the incomming hardfork.

Yeah i think so.. it will happening i guess, there are still many other countries that respond well to the using of bitcoin and everything related to crypto currency. And as is known from some information that i reads there will be fork / segwit2x soon, and most likely the bitcoin price will reach $5000 again surely. Yes want it to do so and that's why they are forcing the exchange to close and I doubt it that it's a permanent decision since we know what attitude China has. They won't let a single source of income from them to be stranded. If I'm not mistaken these decisions coming from them are only temporary and a week from now after the election they'll show another decision or it's the time they'll lift the ban.

That's possible I think. As we can currently see, Bitcoin is slowly making its way up again from the major dump in Bitcoin's market value but it is able to recover. It is downed to 3300 and is now again in 4200 and that's something to look forward with. There will be hardfork in November and if that fork will be successful, it will make Bitcoin having a price of 6000 by the end of this year, more possible without China.
