I seek to know how one can preserve the value of an already acquired Bitcoin knowing it is going to crash. Of course it won't be exchanging it for altcoins since altcoins seem to plunge or rise at the same time BTC does? Any ideas?

You want to preserve the value which mean you need to exchange it to revalue it again,
so,if you do not want to convert it to any other altcoin, you can not preserve the value.
oh right, other than buying altcoin you can try to lend it may be?
but it's not a good idea and very risky other than buying altcoin.
joining a high yeald investment program(HYIP) and something like that, promise you to share a return eeryday and else.
other than that i have no idea.

Note : I do not recommend to lend it and joining HYIP because most of them are scammer.
try to avoid them at all cost

I do not understand what you are driving at with preserving the value of bitcoin. But if I get you right, you want a way to know how to avoid losing incase the value comes down. Grin if that is it, then I need to Grin again. There is nothing you can do about it as long as you are not the one controlling the value and it is the market that does that.

Probably, you may need to understand more on how blockchain technology works cause no matter what I tell you here, you won't understand. If you buy bitcoin today, and it crashes, then it is your loss and if you feel it is not an investment worth taking, then don't.

However, if you want good advice, it is absolutely a risk worth taking cause I don't see any reason that would make bitcoin crash at least for now. [Please make your own decision, as what I said is just and advice to help you inform your decisions.) Do your own research yourself and do what is right for you.

Like Wall Street: buy low, sell just before the crash. There is no other way.

In my view, none has the expertise knowledge to predict the exact crashing of bitcoin. When someone finds it to be towards crash point, just cash it out which on convert into gold which is the only choice. Other than this having trust and making arrangements to buy during crash will be my pick.

That is golden rule I must say. There is no other way to preserve bitcoin. Just sell when you know it is somehow a peak time, keep in mind after this peak there would be a downfall. If you think that this peak may be going higher than keep on holding. Same is case with buying, just buy when there is a deepest point. It all depends on your analysis.

You can try margin trade with leverage so that you can create huge volumes with low money. Here, you have to be very accurate, otherwise, you lose your money in seconds maybe. Short them and see.
