Bitgems are a diamond in the rough. The only coin recently that hasnt rushed to an exchange. They are the opposite of a pump and dump coin. The developer has focused his time on.... well actually developing.
A few things need to happen first.
We need a block explorer. No exchange will add a coin without an explorer. I have made a bounty thread over at the official bitgem forum
