Offline/local wallet.
Encrypt your wallet.dat and back up your wallet.dat to a safe location (offline pc/external hdd/usb stick).

You can also dump private key and save that somewhere so you wouldn't even need your wallet.dat file.

Litecoin core wallet is the best way to keep your coins safe - https://litecoin.org
Also you can try https://electrum-ltc.org if you don't want to download all blocks.

I would recommend an offline wallet. I am currently keeping my LTC and BTC in a Trezor if you can find a way to get one shipped to your country.  If you have a lot of coins, which it seems you do, that would be my recommendation to keep your investment safe. It's easy to use and extremely safe

If you just want to hold them for longer period, I would suggest creating a paper wallet and store it in safe place. No need to use a software wallet for this purpose. Check this out, it supports several currencies:

The LTC wallet is a combination of public address and private key. You must keep them safely. Paper wallet would suit perfect indeed, as well as cold storage (USB drive, Ledger Nano S, Trezor). Your safety is mostly your silence and cyber safety.

Just sell it for Bitcoins
Altcoins is not good investment, especially overcapitalised like LTC
