This is the best I ever seen, premined 6500 blocks, then set up a window between blocks 6500 to 14000 with zero payout, to let people "set up".

650K coins already premined.

Below is the code from their github:

    int64 nSubsidy = 100 * COIN;

    nSubsidy >>= (nHeight / 840000);

   if( nHeight > 6500 && nHeight < 14000 ) // no block reward while miners prep for release
      nSubsidy = 0;

    return nSubsidy + nFees;

but it's ok because the DEVS who haven't bothered to even make a thread will use it for "bounties" and "magical things"

Ok amricacoin might be a piece of crap but are you going to whine every time a new coin is launched because "booohooo it has been premiiiiinned!!!" that's so annoying ...It's almost the only argument people have when they try to spread fud about a coin .
And what if it has been premined ? don't mine it period. Every new alt coin will be more or less premined anyway and even if it isn't mined at all by the dev team before its launch there will be always a handfull of miners who will mine it at full speed and the same morons who will complain about "premining"

it's not even that, it's the point that it's been premined to be dumped on peoples faces, or else the devs would of made a thread somewhere in the universe and set up bounties ect.

When you premine a small amount, maybe no one cares. But with 6500 blocks x100 coins per block? Are you kidding? Also why pretend to be innocent and give a zero payout range for others to have a "fair" start? What a fucking joke it is, this is much worse than any other coins I've seen in the forum.

I will say it is modestly innovative.  I don't think any coin has yet taken this approach to the 0 difficulty/orphans problem

So long as the developer comes out and uses the 650k for bounties, not profit, should be OK

And you expect a developer who can't even make a thread is going to do such things? lol

The dev IS watching... (s)he is lurking. How do I know? As soon as the question of 'are blocks really being found on the official pool? is it a scam pool? etc.' THIS > **NOTE: blocks won't be listed until they start awarding coins; they ARE being found though!** popped up on the pool after a refresh.
