"Ok, I have been using some (password manager) tool for a long time and I actually trust it! But what will happen if it will outage or the team decides to no longer maintain the project?"
That's really possible to happen. So that's the challenge.
Sometimes it's too difficult to trust your passwords to anyone else.
And of course, this one is also prone to cyber attacks. We can't say that it's not.
This is an interesting challenge. Looking forward to how the team addresses this challenge
Etherpass provides several methods to retrieve stored data regardless of service availability:
1) Etherpass has an "offline" mode, which uses special software addons to emulate Etherpass server on a user's personal machine, which has same capabilities as a remote one.
2) Advanced users can retrieve their data from own or a public Ethereum node with all the encryption metadata.
