Not buying right now. May or may not change in the future.I'm in the process of slowly replacing all my 5k series cards with 7970's and am looking to replace them with pure reference cards. I have had great luck with them. I don't want any non-reference as out of the 4 I have, 2 3 have died and the other 1 doesn't even clock that well while undervolting at 1.05v, approximately 100-150MHz slower. Most of these reference cards are also old though and likely abused, so my offer stands at $315 shipped per card. You could sell it on ebay but you would have to price it at least $345 to get more money after fees than what I'm offering. Brand matters little (MSI, Sapphire, Asus, Gigabyte, whatever), though having the original reference style heatsink and fan is highly prefered. I know for a fact that the triple fan Gigabytes are NOT reference. They don't have voltage control either, which is a MUST. You can know your card is a pure reference and not a knockoff by having " 109-C38637-00" down by the PCI-E connector as well as having the AMD logo above it, but this is usually mostly covered by the heatsink. If I don't have reason to trust you (account age too new, no trades, etc), I will require escrow or payment after receiving item depending on payment method, especially if there are no pictures. Payable in paypal gift, dwolla (takes 2-3 days to load money on here as I don't currently have money in it), chase quickpay if you hold a chase account, popmoney, amex serve, and moneypak. I can also reluctantly pay with bitcoins if it is absolutely necessary. Fresh thread because of thread crappers. If your post is not constructive, I will delete it. Edit: I will also take cards with the code " V277 VER:1.0". These are found on some MSI branded 7970's. I believe my offer is 100% fair, considering these cards are old, dusty, and abused, and brand new retail 7970's can be bought for less than $300 RETAIL with free shipping. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202008Picture of sub-$300 7970 in case item disappears or something

Questions a) What age of cards are you looking at? New, 6mo, 1yr+, etc. Is your price same or do you scale with age? b) How much shipping will you pay?

Age shouldn't really matter; all reference cards are pretty old at this point. Brand new "reference" cards are knockoffs with a different color PCB and poor quality and power control. I bought 4 of these reference knockoffs from newegg a month ago, and 3 of them have degraded to the point of instant crash in any 3D game and are currently in RMA. So long as it is game stable and pure reference as described in the OP, I want it. I will pay $335 per card shipped (that means zero for shipping ) I -might- budge on my price if you can convince me. What do you have you can sell to me?

About just reference cards, i've got 2 sapphire Dual x 7970, two 7970 sapphire reference cards with Ghz edition BIOS and a ASUS DC II 7970. I made a record of scrypt mining of 800khs on the 7970 reference cards in my full covered water cooled system, they are great but you can buy good 7970s like twin force 2, ASUS DC 2.... I know others like XFX or gigabyte sucks like it allways do. But Sapphire, ASUS and MSI cards are amazing, and you can do a great job by change of the BIOS.

What do you have you can sell to me? a) Since I use Linux for GPU miners all my 79XX are on 700MHz, 0.95V, in other words they had a pretty easy life, and I had a pretty easy life wrt stability, heat removal and power management. b) I have 3 reference cards that will need to be retired, but I think the quoted price is on the lower side, when I can ebay them for 1) bit more 2) will be paid before shipping

myNote: XFX Double D's are the worst mining cards ever. Piss poor heatsink, and fans that need to be extracted with vice grips and lubed every 3 months. I am sure OP is gonna look the other way

You would be correct in that I won't take any of those XFX dual fan's. There is an awful lot of reports complaining of temperatures with it, and I just don't trust nonrefs anyways. Anyways, I stick by my $335 offer. These are all cards I have bought recently for $335 or less from ebay. They are all reference. http://www.ebay.com/itm/221233870780 $325 http://www.ebay.com/itm/221232432557 Best offer accepted for $335 http://www.ebay.com/itm/121111760419 $325 each. Not -exactly- reference, but power circuitry's temperature sensors works like a pure's and clocks just as high as pures at the same volts. http://www.ebay.com/itm/181141320225 $335 http://www.ebay.com/itm/330918922163 $330 And so on. I think my price is fair, considering ebay and paypal will take $28 total from that amount. You could try to sell it on ebay for $365 but you would end up with the same amount of money compared to selling it to me right here.

I guess I need to set up an eBay store or something... I sold a card for $180, eBay took $18 and Paypal took $7.32. Uh, can I just have eBay take the fees out before they transfer it on over to their paypal subsidiary?

Would you want a 7950? I have a reference Sapphire I'm trying to sell. The numbers near the pci-e match your first post, but now you got me wondering if its a knockoff reference. I think I read that this card uses the 7970 board design?? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202030I would be willing to work out a good price for someone like you.

I'll sell you a NewEgg giftcard for -10%.
I'm not entirely sure what that means, but Newegg doesn't sell any reference 7970's anymore anyways (They are knockoffs, reproductions with poor quality control), so I wouldn't be interested. Thanks anyways.

Hey man,
I have a Diamond reference 7970. I get 615kh/s at 875 core and 1375 mem. The card runs great except that if its mining and I'm surfing the net there will sometimes be a little artifacting. Its the kind where blocks will appear and disappear when you scroll over them. I should also say that I have the card undervolted to 1.012 volts on the core which could be causing this problem. It never bothered me enough to mess with.
Otherwise the card plays battlefield 3 beautifully and never artifacts.
If you can do $315 shipped its yours.
Also, it still has till december on the warranty. I would have to be the intermediary for any warranty work with Diamond but I'd be happy to do this (this is an RMA replacement so they know who I am).
Thanks, Andrew

^ Mine does the exact same thing. There's a setting in IE that says, "Use software rendering instead of GPU rendering." When, I select that those little blocks you talk about completely go away.
