Hello there. Iam running Tails from a usb-stick and have managed to get Electrum running from a persistent partition on the usb-stick. I have managed to backup the elektrum.dat-file to the usb-stick, but I have trouble loading it in Electrum. Iam able to recover my wallet from seed, but thats a bit of a hassle to do everytime I reboot the computer.

I read on the wiki that I should use the -w option, but that doesnt give any meaning to a linux-noob like me.

Never used electrum, but I persume the -w flag is to select a wallet file, just a guess though.

Try running electrum from the command line and point it to your wallet. Something like:
Code:
electrum -w /home/someuser/my-wallet-file.dat
