We are currently deciding whether or not to begin a signature campaign and we'd like to know if it would be worth getting a manager or just automating the whole campaign as it's trivially easy to scrape Bitcointalk profiles and posts.

A bit more about us:

https://www.privcoin.io/
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2164614.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2185832.new#new

If you are interested in managing our campaign, please reply to this thread or PM us with:

1) Your fee per week in BTC.
2) Links to any previous campaigns you've run. Anybody with less than 2 previous campaigns won't be considered.

We will set the price for each campaign participant so all we need is your fee to manage for us which should be lower than our time cost to automate it all.

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

The reason why you cannot just automate it is that a bot cannot read the shit post spammers post. It would not reflect well to the image of the company if you would be hiring spammers that just blurt out non-sense or generally just doing short useless post like +1, I agree, Hi, or something along those lines.

I would like to apply, but since you are looking for experienced ones, then likely I'll be ignored. But good luck looking for one. I would suggest just hiring those very experienced ones like Yahoo and Lutpin.

Short posts can be automated. Shit posts cannot be automated though.

What we can automate:

Is the signature in use?
What is their forum rank?
Is their trust negative?
What is the bitcoin address they want payments to?
What is their post count now, what was it an hour ago?
Are their posts in any forbidden sections? Count the number that are and subtract them.
Are their posts shorter than X length? Count the number that are and subtract them.

Is our time spent doing that going to be less than it'd cost for a manager? Let's see what happens on this thread.

You could do it like BitMixer in the old times. The whole post count and payments proccess were done by a bot, and the only manual work was done by Lauda. She was only responsible for keeping spammers and shitposters out of the campaign by checking their posts regularly and banning them if they break any rules. If you were doing fine, the bot would pay you normally.

I myself would be interested in this kind of job, since I have plenty time and dedication for this forum. The only issues are: I have never managed any campaign before, - even that I know the whole process behind the job - and I wear your competitor signature (if you think this could be a issue).

Still that won't solve the issue of post quality. No doubt, quantitative issues and some checks can be implied. But in order to maintain posting quality and to get most productive output out of your advertisement expense, a human eye is required.
Yet if you find manager's fees to be high, you have an alternative to hire a quality checker. Only purpose of the checker is to determine the quality of posters and inform you if anyone found writing shit. This could be cheaper alternative. Bot can perform its deed.

Hey sexy, from my point of view signature campaigns are most profitable for those willing to conduct an ICO or crowdsale but for services like yours I would recommend to use off page seo services too other than signature campaigns . Yes you can automate it but for better results campaign managers can be hired .

If trying to save a dollar is more important to you than the look of your company, then by all means use your bot. Get yourself a shitty reputation like yoshit or secondstrade did. I'm sure that's exactly how to attract the investors your way.

The effect of what you just posted is massive. You need to stop what you're doing right now and call up every grocery store in your country and tell them to immediately stop implementing self-checkout machines because any form of automation to reduce human capital costs (liabilities) will result in a poor image and shitty reputation. Forget about anyone providing a good service because all companies must now maintain human capital or nobody will ever use their product.

For the record, this isn't about saving a dollar but rather a cost benefit analysis of which path to go for a campaign. So far we've had some quotes for managers that would increase our monthly operating costs by 900%. That's just a management fee with nothing going to any campaign participants. On the other hand we've had a couple quotes from hero+ members that we're willing to pay but we might end up doing a hybrid solution as some have suggested here in this thread.

We'll leave the discussion open for the remainder of the day and proceed tomorrow on one front or another.

I agree with automated bot only to do what you told above. Then let someone like Lauda, Yahoo or Lutpin look over the posts of the participants. This way you will give everybody a chance to join your signature if they like to and it is up to them to make quality posts in order not to be kicked from the campaign very soon from the manager if they post just to fill the quota of posts you will decide per week.

Yahoo as you can see above, has no desire to interact with any system that has any form of automation but thank you and the others for the general suggestion. We will likely implement it and hire 2 different people to manage post quality.

For the record my interest in posting here simply is talking about the bot. In your OP you stated should you use a bot or hire someone. What would be more cost effective for you. The way I read it was basically should we go 1 way or the other.  The campaigns I mentioned I believe used bots and had every goddamn spammer on the planet in the campaign because they know they could type in dlkdflkndfklngdklngdlkdgnlgngdslknggsn klfsngsklnglkdnglkgr dsklnglkglkdsgnsdklgngklnglk gslgrjs;tlhjwa;rjrw;ajgr;lg e;lg rgjergjwOGJWJ and get paid.

Then you want to go and say you might do a hybrid thing and end up hiring 2 managers? If you're gonna use a bot anyways and hire possibly 2 ppl then what's the point of your original question?

We are currently deciding whether or not to begin a signature campaign and we'd like to know if it would be worth getting a manager or just automating the whole campaign as it's trivially easy to scrape Bitcointalk profiles and posts.

I have nothing against using a bot as long as the campaign is watched over to avoid the users posting trash. It's not about me being a dick and calling up grocery stores saying kill your self checkout lines. Nothing was mentioned in the OP about using a bot and hiring managers, so don't try to go looking all high and mighty here

I've sent a pm regarding this job and now I'll like to give my thoughts on this bot thing.

If I am chosen, I will still offer the same rates but I will not be using the bot, since it is barely any use and I don't want to be a manager than lets people type ebsjsjabshaiabshsjaisbsjaiwibdjswkksbjwoskbdbswiaosos 50 times and gets paid.

I would also much prefer to work alone, but if need be I can work with a pair.

Managing campaign needs manually selecting shit poster if you strongly believe your automate system can do just that don't spend money on campaign manager instead use your automate system, but I strongly believe manually selecting a proper member for your campaign will leave a good feedback to your business am I right?

Typing unreadable, random characters is not even the problem. The problem is that they can go to a BS Generator and get complete sentences that are absolutely meaningless but look like they aren't. I remember a certain poster that was doing that in the Blocklancer campaign, it was the same incomprehensible word salad over and over.

Scene one : automation implemented .

Many junk posters identified after quota gets full . Now you will have to rehire . This will go on till you plan to put an end .

Scene two : manual mode .

Cost of bot programming =<>? Campaign manager .

Trusted manager should bring more targeted traffic and interested personalities .
