First of all , China didn't ban bitcoin, they banned bitcoin exchange sites. And even if China does ban bitcoin so what ? Bitcoin price will go down but only for a short amount of time then it will recover. Bitcoin won't die just cause some country banned it.

Yes it is possible that other country may ban bitcoin it is because the government are afraid that bitcoin can become a threat to their economy since its very volatile and unstable if their market will adopt it the government can't control the circulation of money in their country which I think the main reason why they didn't like it, But since crypto currency is growing now and many start to adopt it I guess the government need to adjust on that.

Yes, you are right
there is the possibility of other countries doing the same
probably because it does not know the benefits of this bitcoin
which they know only in the negative side.
they do not know so much about the positive side of this bitcoin.

I do not think bitcoin banned will be effective, community and bitcoin users spread evenly in many countries so it will not have much impact. it is time for bitcoin to be legalized not banned.

If China decides to ban Bitcoin along with exchanges then it would be a terrible blunder for her. Currently crypto world is a chess game between people and governments and apparently China does try to have strong hands by forcing some rules & bans.

I'm sure the Chinese will join the Americans. They are primarily interested in the destruction of bitcoin. Bitcoin now creates the outflows from the dollar, but it is not critical. I think that the Americans will not have to wait for the full destruction of the dollar and starts a war with bitcoin.

Yes, it's can be. Already some of the counties are banned Bitcoin. And a lot of countries do not accept Bitcoin. Because all of the countries who are banned Bitcoin they are afraid Bitcoin. They believe that someday Bitcoin will be a thread for their economy. But no one can stop Bitcoin growing.

banned bitcoin in other countries as it has done in China, all of it could happen in terms of the country's economy declining by using bitcoin and also how much loss the government's has invested in bitcoin, all that can happen.

When did China ban Bitcoin?? Wan't it just exchange ban??

in the FUD they banned bitcoin, and those who are shorting bitcoin are pushing for the fake news today again.
in reality they have just closed exchanges (not banned) and banned ICOs (which has nothing to do with bitcoin since nobody even buys into ICO with bitcoin) and they also never talked about banning bitcoin so far.
Damn! Then why so many people are sad for nothing? LOL!

Atleast people should check the source before making claims. Enough of these rumors. People keep on propagating false news and ultimately who enjoys profit is bulk holders.

When it comes to China, government has only closed exchanges. But soon they'll be launching their own cryptocurrency through which people can easily buy Bitcoin. But all the funds coming and going from bank would be under government scrutiny through their cryptocurrency. This is what they wanted to achieve. They never wanted to ban Bitcoin.

well China is always known to be restrictive with all their great firewall of China and all the other weird stuff that is going on there. that is why people have an easier time believing the FUD the comes from China.

in fact i believe it is possible that some day they even ban bitcoin. but so far in the past 8 years they have not done anything in that regard and this time they don't seem to have the intention either.

about their own cryptocurrency i have to say it will be another option. it won't probably even be mineable and will be closed source which means it has no effect on bitcoin.

There is a FOMO brewing...

You can easily stop bitcoin. When you change your bitcoin into Fiat currency you become visible to banks. Banks in the same way as governments are not interested in the prosperity of bitcoin in this war will be on the side of the state. Only trade directly with bitcoin can protect us from the power of the government.

Anything can happen, positive and negative. Japan legalized bitcoins when no one expected that, Australia have some regulations about bitcoin. China and Russia for year are talking about bitcoin, threat with banning and punishing people who use bitcoins, sending them to jail.
Governments and bitcoin is old discussion, and except speculations a lot of talking, different articles and interviews from people close to government nothing really happened. They still don't know what to do with bitcoins, and they are researching bitcoin and blockchain but what will happen in the end we can just wait and see. I think many surprises are waiting us, that is what I learned I this to years, be ready for everything, good and bad because both are coming.

I don't think that bitcoin will be banned in other countries because that is not what other countries are, china just banned bitcoin because they are slowly realizing that bitcoin is making a great revolution in their country and i think that other countries will do opposite and that is they will accept and adopt bitcoin.

Psychology says "If you ban something, people will get more into it." or something like that. Grin Sorry, governments. Wrong way. They should find a way to use it wisely.

There are some rummors that bitcoin will be banned by some governments but i dont think that is going to happen as of now because bitcoin becomes widely accepted and is thought of accepted by different goverments of different countries. It has too much advantage and efficiency so they will soon accept it.

How many times has it been banned? The world will accept the bitcoin. Even if they forbid Bitcoin, the blockchain can not be banned. It's time to watch. Stay calm and watch. There is a revolution here.

It's possible that there is a country that would ban bitcoin again if they see it as a threat to their financial system or they have viewed it as a digital currency use by people doing something illegal. There are some countries already that ban it because of that reason but then there are others who are looking at regulating bitcoin so we as bitcoin enthusiast should continue to support bitcoin because it has help us a lot in earning and we should not be discourage by this countries banning it because there are more positive news in bitcoin than negative.

China has not banned bitcoins. Localbitcoins trading in China is still legal and using exchanges is still legal(until they close down at least). Mining is still legal despite people going around saying that it'll get banned soon. Using bitcoin is overall legal.

But yes, China has tightened up its controls over btc.

Other governments have banned bitcoin before and it would not be surprising if some other country banned bitcoin in the near future as well. But, it's quite pointless as bitcoin is p2p and decentralized. They cannot ban the network itself but only its peripherals(exchanges, wallet providers, etc.)
