Right time to buy alt is when btc up if you have btc to exchange tobalt. But if you have dollar or other fiat you can buy it anytime you want. But mark my words " only buy altcoin which has a good and solid development team " if you want to buy ico token. Research 5he team, roadmap and other.

there are only two times when i ever buy an altcoin:

1. when i see a recent history of stable price with it staying at a reasonable range with little fluctuations and then leading to a big pump. i buy before the pump happens to sell on top.

2. when there is a huge dump and price tanks hard. that is a good short term investment. you buy in the dip after the dump slowed down and finished and hope you did well speculating and sell in a very short time after it recovered (also known as Dead Cat Bounce).

Your second point describes the time I usually buy alts, especially if the price drops near all time lows that are less than 30% of their regular highs. This way, I know even if it only recovers to the level it always struggles at, I can still make a decent 10-15% profit. Also, this does not really apply if I see a alt that was after a recent ICO as it is too early to tell the swings. I tend to wait until it has been around for a minimum of six months.

If you want to get good profit from buying some of them you have to wait for a right moment, noone would tell you when it will be but you should follow pumps on market.

last week we have seen the dump in the whole altcoin market and some of the high potential coin has dump their price upto half from price at that time.
right now the price of many coins like litecoin , bitcoin cash and many other coins has not recover to that level so, i think right now it is a good time to buy although the price of the bitcoin has recover to its previous price.

Same thinking, altcoins could give some profit in future. Lots of people are writing same propostitions at diffrent tasks right now.

Only thing is that you should be holding the right coin which give the maximize profits. because out of so many coins not all will rise in future and the one's that may do will make you a millionaire but we should buy and be holding those coins which can make us millionaire. So its research and plus little luck which will help in achieving this.

Exactly, if histroy theaches us something is this what you said...now (after huge influx of new money) we had 2 forks and you can chechk orices of btc and alts before and after forks... history repeats.
