The latest research in genetics show that there is no connection between heredity and brain capability.
 The reason of the fact that you've mentioned hides in educational system. In USSR schools children were taught almost every single aspect of those times science without testing child’s predisposition. This could cause major psychological deviations, which were not counted at that time.
 So yes, erudition and general knowledge of people from former Soviet Union can be higher, but there is nothing related to heredity.

YES heredity is being pass theres a percent that  a child will adopt the capability and talent of their parent be own!
yesterday at the news here inn my country there's a parent of \2 chess players and has a son with an age of 3 years.. who can beat 10 opponents simultaneously .. hedefeated 10 8 varsity players and 2 coaches with a 10-0 record in lessthan 30 minutes how can you explain that ? knowledge and talent can be adopt but still it is the parent who will develop it on their young age!

In a way it can i think. Though as time.goes by, people practice and probably can improve their intelligence. There are many cases wherein the parent is extremely intelliegent and the child isn't and the other way around but studying diligently makes the difference

I think heredity may have an effect on the brain but it takes the environment into which one is born for whatever was inherited to be manifested. for instance, one may inherit some business skills from his parents but if he finds himself in an environment which is not business friendly then he can not exhibit those skills.

I dont think so. Brain capability has bothing to do with heredity. Humans learn throughout their lives and it depends on the way they acquire knowledge.brain capability isnt passed off to its descendants but illnesses are.

Itis much the case that the offspring seem to have an effect on one's brainpower, but not on everyone because even though a descend may have different brain abilities.
I think many factors affect the ability of a person's brain, not all children born from smart parents have the same ability with their parents, they can be just as smart, smarter or even less smart at all.
Smart parenting, good financial support, and a good school can produce children with good brainpower.
