If there were 3 pieces of advice you could give to a crypto currency newcomer, what would they be?

Thanks

First do not invest what you can't afford to lose.
Second, like in real life things that are too good to be true are possibly scam, so you should know who is behind that offer always.
Third, use escrow while trading because as well as in real life in bitcoins are good and bad people the way to avoid bad ones while trading is using escrow.

We are ever became a newbie like you before,so the first time that you need to do is to read the rules of this forum abd try to learn it just like us,do not asking or doing something out of the rules because you will get banned because of it.
If you want to invest, prepare yourself because you can lose it in the next day cryptocurrency is unpredictable and for now it can be manipulated by some people/groups.

And welcome to the crypto family,

Welcome to the cryptocurrency community Tongue

Well, it's pretty hard to give advice since we don't know what you're planning on doing in the cryptocurrency world, but I'll give you 3 general advice instead.

1. Read. ALOT. The worst thing you can do as a beginner is to go balls deep on something that you don't even understand. Read articles or books, watch some YouTube videos, and read some more.

2. Never invest more than you're willing to lose. Yes, saying that makes me sound like a broken record, but I couldn't stress it enough. If you think you know enough about cryptocurrencies and you wanted to invest, never EVER go all in with your savings.

3. Don't invest in cloud mining or investment sites. I'll admit that I was planning on investing on these stuff in the past, but after thorough research, I realized that they're pure BS. Don't get blinded by the advertisements you see.

BONUS: Important. Do extensive research on how to protect your cryptocurrencies if you ever have some. It's common seeing people making posts on how their coins gets stolen. Better safe than sorry.

Lastly, don't be like THIS GUY

yes your in a right place, and welcome to forum dude, first, if you a newcomer in crypto currency, do some research first, background checks and how do its works, its very important to know for the newbie, after that, if you educated in cryptocurrency you can decide what is your next step to do. whether if you want/like to earn profits from buying/ investing in cryptocurrency or do a TRADING in the cryptocurrency market to roll you money that you invested in it. but i suggest for now for you being a new one, explore the whole forum and read more topics/threads that related on what you want to know.

(1) Do a lot of reading on this forum. There is a lot to learn, but must of it is not technical and once you're more educated you will have a better understanding of what Bitcoin is all about.

(2) Check out YouTube to help get up to speed on the latest goings on. I recommend the BTC Sessions channel.

(3) Get involved! Buy some Bitcoin. Tell your family, friends, neighbors. Don't tell them "you'll get rich!" Tell them that this is potentially a better alternative to something we're all very familiar with and it's worth participating in to see how good of an alternative it may turn out to be.

Good luck to you and welcome!

Go through the forum and read the main things. you have at least an impression of what kind of people are here, what they are trying to achieve and in what ways, and then start yourself, only with a small amount and ask everything, or you'll blame us. Grin

First off welcome fellow newbie! But more importantly my advice to you would be

1) Risk and bankroll management - this is obvious but critical if you want to remain here 6 months+ from now

2) Emotion control - this one may be overlooked but controlling ones emotions during pumps and dumps will help make sound solid decisions

3) Gameplan - have a gameplan for your moves in crypto, if you do not you fall victim to #2

Good luck and hope to see you around come 6 months from now  Wink

Hello, I am new here, I have done some research into Bitcoin and all signs pointed to coming here and creating an account. So hello, nice to meet you.

If there were 3 pieces of advice you could give to a crypto currency newcomer, what would they be?

3 pieces of advice that i could give to a crypto currency newcomer.

First, Do test transactions
One of the biggest disadvantages of the phenomenon of cryptocurrencies is the alleged risk you undertake every time you press the button to complete a transaction.
After all, we are talking about digital currencies that are less stable than the regular ones. This, however, doesn’t mean you can’t prevent the disappearance of your investment.

Second, Don't just believe that you earn a lot of bitcoin instantly cause sometimes or almost of new bitcoin earners scammed cause they're expecting too much when it comes in bitcoin talk.
Remember if its good to be true, ITS NOT TRUE

Third, There is a lot more you can do with Bitcoins than just sit on them and wait for the value to go up. Some of the other options include mining and lending the units to other users.

Mining is a process of getting new Bitcoins by solving algorithms that serve as blocks for the public ledgers. Lending, on the other hand, involves loaning your Bitcoins to other users for interest, and is a proven method for accumulating a large number of new units.
