Hi - I'm using Guiminer (with 2 miners), on Slush's pool, and I would like to know if there is a "best time" to stop mining (e.g. for a reboot) ?

No, all time is created equally, so just pick a time. Even with a large amount of rigs like I have, the brief reboot is not going to cost you a significant amount.

Or when you know something bad will be happening.  Like a blackout/brownout.

If I have to do a reboot and I am patient. I wait for the pool hashrate to be high. That is when your reward will be the least.

I reboot when my GPU's crash Sad

I should really do it every 2 days max. I have 3x5850's with decent overclocks. Getting 400mh/s on one of them.

I have 17,000 k/hs on Scrypt, and will soon be up to 40,000 kh/s, and I think people are overestimating the impact of a reboot. We're talking less than an hour of time away from mining, and you do not even make an LTC in an hour (I know, you're worried about the block you'll miss).

Just do it as needed, it should not even be a factor.

Hey join the 5850 club 400 on all of them. What are your settings?

I have found 950/1175 works best Smiley
