I have a 1060 6gb ITX Aero Card, the card has that option that fans stop spinning when under temp is 60, the card is fine but sometimes on linux, i notice the temperature that it reaches 80 to 90c, as the fan didnt start spinning automatically, so i have to go spin it by hand or reboot the rig, any solution, the card cant be returned and its a new card and the only card with samsung memory lol

Do the fans spin freely by hand all the time when they are stopped? Any grating or squealing noises from them? If so, the bearings might be seized or need a drop of oil. If that is the case, sewing machine oil works. Just one or two small drops.

No sorta noise tho, any guide where the bearing is? or how do i put it ill check if they spin freely I wouldn't mess with the bearing unless you want to void your warranty and you have symptoms of it needing lube. But usually there is a pinhole on the back of the fan that goes into the bearing. If there is no hole, then it is usually underneath the fan sticker on the back. Sometimes there isn't a hole and you have to drill a tiny hole, just thin and deep enough to hit the metal ball bearing. You don't want to scar the bearing or get dust on it.

what is the easy thing here lol An easy thing might be to set the fan to a constant speed instead of a temperature curve.

When exactly does this occur? If it's running on full load (For example while mining) and the fan stops working, it could end badly for your GPU. Do you have any monitoring software installed? If not, try using MSI Afterburner, set the fans to Auto, check if it happens again, could be an issue with the drivers perhaps?
Since it's a new GPU, you could also send an email to the manufacturer, it's possible that the fan's pins (They control the fan's spinning speed) are not working as they should.

Occurs at times when the i restart the rig, i am running smos, so im note sure about the drivers on linux, i will try to email the manufacturer to see what they can do
