If they want to make a payment  in the hotelchain using altcoin or cryptocurrency, I think is good and much better to use bitcoin as mode of payment because it is more easy for the customers to use this than ICO program token its very very seldom for the ICO that will be implement it at once.

A dedicated blockchain and token for just hotel staying might be too much to ask for when there are already establishments accepting BTC and famous altcoins. In any case, if the foundation of the coin is stable and they reach out hotels across many countries, this could still be a decent project given that the dev team works towards this.

I would be very amazed when I can make a reservation at any hotel in the world and pay using tokens but in fact many 5-star hotels in my country do not even know bitcoin? how they will accept an altcoin token? unless #hotelchain has co-operation throughout the hotel in all countries but that is impossible to do right ?

All card coins will be able to pay at hotels as they are just mastercard/visa's with underlying blockchain technology. So Tenx is one but don't forget Centra.

I haven't seen hotels that accept payment in cryptocurrency. In my country you can find private apartments with payment in bitcoins but this method is not in demand. I spoke with the property owner. In a few years it paid off by bitcoins only once.

Yes, this is a move to make cryptocurrency more acceptable as payments such as in hotels. The good thing about this news is that they are focusing their tokens for hotel payments. That means they will not find it hard to market their coin. Crypto travelers will welcome this.

Yes it is currently not possible since not all countries are not even accepting Bitcoin yet and worse, some banned it so, not even Altcoin can be available in that country, so what more if tokens? That is just plainly exaggerating, I mean if the hotels wants to adapt this kind of currency they first need some confirmation that its been using in economic purposes, and it has to successful.

It is quite impossible for now, but in the future maybe. I wish I could live the day when that happens.

In my opinion I feel we are thinking too much as different startups try to create their own token and distribute it for specific purpose. We all can pay with bitcoin and I think it is the solution to all problems of unification of finances. It does not matter to the people who create the token/coin as to who is going to accept it or not, they just want their wallet downloaded and the investors to invest in it. If we need to pay for every other service if by a different altcoin, then to hell with altcoins I prefer bitcoin to pay them all.

Some hotel already adopt some cryptos to be accepted for payment especially a bitcoin payment but on alt-coins token maybe I would not found any.
This is a good starts of every ICO's especially if they design a token for hotel used only and apply to any part of the countries.

that altcoin you mentioned above still  don't have certain future, they might be accepted to many hotels or might not. it's depend on how they expand their service and gaining popularity of their token or coin.
realizing that is not as easy as making an ICO, so, it's still too early to say that the project above will give you a way to pay hotels with altcoin.

I totally agree with you, guys. Gosh, there're so many coins made for buying specific stuff like burgers or paying for the stay in a hotel! That doesn't make much sense to me. I think there are lots of coins and one can choose the one fully appropriate for the business instead of making another clone.
And what's the thing about the Hotel crypto anyway? I remember a thread on this forum about a month ago which was about a possibility to check-in and out the hotel with no ID. That's interesting but fully illegal. Yet otherwise I don't get what is such a crypto needed for.
