Unverified Rumor Circulating That Amazon May Accept Bitcoin By October

Rumors are circulating that Amazon may begin accepting Bitcoin as a payment method this October. The rumors appear to stem from a recent report on squawker.org, Some surveys have indicated that the company would have a financial reason to do so, but no official announcement has been made. 
The squawker.org article references a mention in investor James Altucher’s newsletter. According to the source, Altucher is an experienced trader who many believe could have pre-announcement information. The article comments:

I also read about it earlier in CoinTelegraph and if this is true it's a great news. Amazon can help encourage a lot of people to use bitcoin, just imagine how many people buys electronics, computer and software everyday in Amazon. This means another bitcoin pump coming soon

Hopefully the news is true, this may be the beginning of bitcoin progress where amazon is one of the largest online companies with so bitcoin will be getting to know a lot of people. so bitcoin prices will always rise and stable, in addition to sure many online companies that follow amazon with payment using bitcoin.

This rumor has already been debunked a while ago. It was created by a known gossiper in the Bitcoin community, and should not be taken seriously.
