He's not suggesting any medication types (while steroids CAN be used to treat symptoms and certain ailments, I don't think he's playing the role of a physician here) rather supplying the demand for people who want these types of things already: mostly people who are interested in taking dietary supplements and performance enhancers, who usually know the risks in taking these types of medications unsupervised.

Of course performance enhancing drugs should NEVER be used without supervision.  You WILL need your triglycerides monitored as well as liver function, signs of thyroid problems and levels of testosterone and estrogen- the list is a long one.  If you think you can use steroids without the help of a doctor, you truly are an idiot.  You might as well put a gun to your head.
