I actually compiled a list of exchanges but i am not personally a user of all these exchanges thus can't comment on which is the best:

www.bittrex.com
www.poloniex.com
www.kraken.com
www.cryptopia.co.nz
www.livecoin.net
www.cryptodao.com
www.novaexchange.com
www.c-cex.com
www.yobit.net
www.coinexchange.io
www.bisq.io
www.liqui.io

Cheers

That's a very good overview, but i miss cex.io.

In my opinion bittrex is the best exchange due to it's high volume and the quantity of listed coins.

So far I tried hitbtc, kraken, yobit and cex.io. (And bittrex of course)

hitbtc:   Low volume
kraken: Slow and less coins
yobit:    SO MUCH WALLET UNDER MAINTENANCE! ->Don't trade!
cex.io:  Less coins

I would like to know which is the best cryptocurrency exchange. I am currently using bittrex but it doesn't have much coins listed in it. Which are the other good alternatives?

you don't need to use only one exchange (in your case - bittrex). Use (register) in many oather exchanges. And then store tokens in exchange that supports these tokens.

I'm doing so...

another consideratio when choosing the "right" exchange is how well managed it is on the compliance-front. recently Coin Hako (another platform) had to close off their bank account due to AML risk.

It is depend on your strategy, if you trading btc - fiat you should choose bitfinx because it has big marcet cap with over than 25000 btc are traded everyday.

Sepertinya sudah waktunya, kalau menurut saya lebih baik lump sum sekarang. 30/01/2024.

i think its important to spread your funds into various exchanges as most exchanges are still "centralized" and although risk with bigger players are lower... there is still risk.

for trading of BTC against USD, you could consider CFD type of platform where you don't actually hold BTC but settle the difference (between opening price and closing price). One platform is eTORO.

As for me the good gateway is  Coinbase
It has very useful interface without additional function. And as a begginer I appreciate it. The interface is very clean, making easy to make  purchase of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrency. My first purchasing was LTC, which I bought with bank transfer and paid fee about 1.49%.

Overall bittrex is the best but I find liqui.io has the best new coins offered the fastest.

Poloniex has a nice interface but waiting a month for a customer service reply is a bit crazy.

The best cryptocurrency exchanges are the peer to peer ones. Changelly is better than ShapeShift as they just integrated SegWit to lower fees, and also sites like tuxexchange.com are great places to get em.

As far as I know, bittrex has many coins listed there unless you are looking for more coins which maybe you can find in yobit exchange. Poloniex has been one of the good exchanges before but due to the issues recently, many people transferred to other exchanges because they are afraid they might not be able to withdraw their funds in that exchange and many of those transferred to bittrex. Cryptopia may be one of the exchanges you have to look at if you can see your preferred coins are listed there. You can also go directly to coinmarketcap and find the coin you want to buy and see what exchange it is trading.

There isn't really a best exchange. There isn't one that's far above the others if that is what you thinking. Most exchanges I find useful and good. Be careful when trying out new exchanges though. Make sure they legit. It almost always is legit but rather be safe and exchange smaller amounts on new exchanges.

You should rather be asking what you want from an exchange so we can better help you.

you have to take in consideration the listing of altcoins. You don't find all the coins in all the exchanges so, it is good to consider that once in a while, even if you have a favorite exchange, you will have to use other exchanges to, so there is no best best exchange...

I had this problem when starting out to, it's like all the cool projects you looking into are never listed on the exchanges you have your funds.

But general guide is that Poloniex and Bittrex have the most stablished and big projects/ICOs tokens listed. Not all the projects there are big, you got bitbean in bittrex for example, but in general they now only add big money projects or projects of teams with influence.

Cryptopia lists many new and low to medium tokens it has ok volume. Livecoin is OK too and a bit similar to cryptopia but with more criterium than cryptopia when it comes to list new tokens. Coinexchange is ok to and similar to the ones alredy mentioned.

I just use Bittrex, unless there is a coin I really want that's not on Bittrex, then I'll use whatever exchange it's on. Such as Binance or coinexchange.

I don't recommend liqui.io I'm basing some complains here in forum like this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1979054.0

The most popular exchange that has a very poor support, I will never recommend this exchange. I don't want to get an headache out of their withdrawal/wallet problems and hoping from their support team will rescue me, no.
