I disagree. The price may go up but I do not see it going that high. The most maybe double the current price. Most of the time the price goes up by nov to december by less than a hundred percent. So that would mean 7 to 8k.

Amazon will not accept Bitcoin.  Not in at least 5 years or so.  It's just too quirky for them, and imagine all the money laundering the criminals could do thru Amazon and Bitcoin.  That would make it waaay easier for them.

But I could see some mainstream merchants accept Bitcoin thru the Lightning Network, or some payment layer open to both crypto and fiat in the future.  The best company I can see doing that would probably Ripple since they got all the banking partners.  I know some are calling them a scam, but hey...  The whole banking industry is a scam.

i was hearing about this too that on october they will be announce the new update but i'm not really sure if they are really serious to accept bitcoin as a part of their payment method however although if Amazon really accept bitcoin but in my view $10k is too much and i don't think by the end of year new peak will be at that price

I don´t think Amazon is a good place to launder money at all.
Besides, you can already order items from Amazon using services
like purse.io.

Therefore I highly doubt that fear of money laundering is the reason
why they haven´t started to accept BTC payments.

In my opinion a more likely explanation is that they have seen that other
business that started accepting BTC haven´t seen an increase in sales
or even much interest in BTC payments at all.
Bitcoin´s use case is savings and this is why most people just
hoard their coins instead of buying junk from Amazon.

If Amazon does start accepting bitcoin then i have no doubt that we will see $6-7k per bitcoin by the end of the year. However it really depends on whether or not the news turns out to be legit and whether bitcoin actually gets integrated into amazon.

Otherwise, i think that we're still going to probably just slowly make our way down and the ATH remains at $5k.

$10k per bitcoin is extremely unlikely though, i wish that could happen but probably not going to happen.

Bitcoin has recover from its bad shape from China's ban and one of its reason for recovery is the acceptance and legality of bitcoin in other countries.
With this amazon acceptance of bitcoin will surely help to raise it's price but I have doubt that bitcoin will reach 10k usd by the end of the year.
7k usd will be the highest price of bitcoin by the end of the month, its my own opinion only and everything will depend on its flow.

Even though bitcoin is definitely oversold right now(because of Dimon as well as Chinese regulations), i don't think that we will go to $10000 this year. That would be more than 2 times the current ATH, and i don't think that there is enough driving force to make this happen.

But breaking the ATH again this year could be possible, before the year ends.

As long as some sort of major good media coverage occurs for bitcoin, $6k-7k could be possible.

There is a big if here.

If amazon starts to accept bitcoin then bitcoin will probably hit $10k by the end of the year. Though this news isn't an official announcement by any means from Amazon but rather just speculation and rumors coming from a news outlet.

But if amazon does start to accept bitcoin, then people are going to get hyped and they will start buying bitcoin once again. Demand will soar for bitcoin, and doubling the current all time high is not impossible.

We've been through an extremely bullish period already, and it's safe to say that with the 2MB hard fork coming closer, the market will likely move towards the South rather than North in the runup to this event. Whatever happens after that will be something we'll be dealing with at that time, but right now it's better to remain conservative. It's pointless to expect too much from the market with very important things going on that might heavily influence the market in a negative manner.

I agree that amazon isn't enough of a reason to move us that far on its own, it could spark the move up though.  But anyway regardless of that the biggest reason for $10k this year is fiat is garbage and no other investments are looking good or a safe place to have your money right now.  Bitcoin is where i want my money no matter on the price.

I would be surprised to see 10k hit before the end of the year. I would think the earliest we might see 5 figures is around about easter next year but more realistically maybe this time next year
