Hi all,

As the life of a miner goes, I ran into 2 new problems today whilst trying setting up my rigs. The first one is a working 5x1050ti rig. Today I wanted to add a 6th 1050ti, however from a different brand as the other 5 because it was the only one available. I plugged it in PCI-E, driver, everything, yet Windows 10 only sees the 5 already existing 1050ti's. Is this fixable or should I return it and wait for a 6th one similar to the other 5?

Second problem.

My second rig which is going to be 6x1070 didn't work with Silverstone 1200w PSU. Just 2 1070's with a 650w corsair work perfectly fine. Am I doing something wrong with the PSU or is it faulty? (Just a week old, never used it, just bought). All the fans were spinning, cpu, gpu, system won't boot, PSU not spinning. I tried the paperclip test and it DID spin.

Please assist if you know how I can make use of 4x1070 and 1x1050ti that are now useless in my mining room:)

Sounds like you have some faulty risers. I experienced both of your issues and the solution was to find the faulty riser and replace it completely.

Thanks for the quick reply. I love the fact that I bought spare ones before hand. I am going to change some now and check, will post results.

Ok I replaced the risers for the first problem, the 6th 1050ti. I also switched PCI-E slots, now the result is a bit better: when i power on, the fans spin for few seconds then they stop. Atleast, they have spinned! What to do next, any advice?

The first problem is solved. Credits go to bathrobehero who suggested pci-e. I changed it once, still didnt work, second time, all worked (had to unplug psu from wall, forgot). Now on to the next problem! Cheesy

Good that you did, risers are almost like disposable, there are so many that's faulty.

I'M actually going to order like 24 more because I only had 5 or so spare. I think one serious miner should have a box of these at all times. Now as for the 1070 problem, windows now sees all the 1070's in device manager, yet with the irritating yellow warning triangle. What to do next?
