Yeah, I've used it. Encrypt, decrypt, rename to wallet.dat and you're in business. Be sure to enable the setting "Clear password box after operation" under encryption settings- otherwise it'll autofill your decryption password if you've decrypted the file before- not exactly secure!!

i think most of the encryption software has a backdoor for police/recovery so it is not 100% save. i would use truecrypt with a 20+ signs password.

I personally think when it comes to encryption software, Open Source with the many-eyeballs principle really shows its strengths.

Also, using truecrypt or openssl certainly helps a bit against the uneasy itching under the tinfoil-hat

we need a solution that doesn't keep any traces stored in memory either.. Hopefully future versions of BitCoin maybe have a built-in feature. Like using a password to open a wallet.dat.
