Is there a possibility of an Android app in the future?

Great question! Yeah, we definitely will be releasing mobile apps. That will be part of our updated Roadmap which will be released, hopefully, next week.

What else can you tell us about the updated roadmap? Any other new features besides mobile support you can think of off the top of your head?

Definitely. I'm just not sure if I should be spoiling the surprise as our guys have been working hard on it and it will be released in a few days. One thing I will state is that we aren't only focused on the sportsbook, however, and will be making a great resource available, hopefully, by end of month.

This project is interesting.  Seems very ambitious of course and the scale of it combined with the history of this forum makes people hesitant to take it seriously.  It would be really cool to see this project become a reality. Will be curious to watch how this develops.

The cynicism is fair and to be expected. All I can really say to dissuade the cynics is that we have experience in this space, having operated a pseudo-sportsbook with a free virtual currency for a number of years now, have a great team, and are continually surrounding ourselves with others that we think can bring even more value, one of which will be announced in the next 48 hours.

I think anyone interested in this project will be pleasantly surprised by the inroads that we make in the sports betting industry in the next year and beyond.

That's great. I could see a service like this getting a lot of mobile users on board.

Agreed. In our opinion, mobile betting is only going to increase, especially outside of North America. We have a few connections in Africa and Asia which we have not yet disclosed (which I probably cannot yet), through which we hope to penetrate those markets as well.

Seems like solid foresight. Mobile is huge, Asia is huge, mobile betting in Asia should obviously also be huge.

Agreed. Africa's betting market is also exploding, especially mobile, in countries like Nigeria, Ghana and South Africa.

Is there anything to stop traders from getting a good deal on the tokens early on, only to dump them at the first exchange? I've seen this tactic mess over ICO's before.

Hi BlitzandBits, great question. The tokens being held for founders will be subject to a release schedule for 18 months. In regards to big contributors and the possibility that they dump their tokens as soon as it is listed, we have strategically aligned ourselves with investors that we do not foresee (and have received assurances from) dumping their coins in the short-term. Of course, there is no guarantee, but we are relatively confident as we've had quite a few conversations these parties.

I guess that's about as much as you can reasonably ask for.

What is the key difference between this one and other betting projects?

Hi MyTimeCoin, do you mean other betting projects in general, or just other blockchain-based betting projects?

The two differences that apply to all other betting projects are:

1) We will maintain the social system wherein members can opt to have member profiles, can interact with other members, and can follow others. This social system will also allow for the display for each members betting statistics (ROI, profit, record... etc.). Members who opt in to this social system will be eligible for our Community Incentive Plan, whereby we will reward users who provide rationale for their bets, have many followers, and/or who are active bettors.

2) We will have the best odds available to sports bettors, with an industry low 1% margin on bets.

Obviously, the biggest difference between us and other non-blockchain betting projects is that we will offer increased security, transparency, verifiability, as well as trustless betting.

There are a few others that are in the blockchain betting space, though we do feel like we provide a stronger and different offering. I'm not going to disparage any of the other ventures as there is more than enough space in this industry for all of us. I will name a few, and you can look into them and ask me questions about them compared to us if you would like:

Though decent.bet is the one on the list I know the least about, from my perspective, Decent.bet is primarily a casino based platform built on Ethereum, though they do also contain a small section in their white paper outlining plans to also incorporate sports betting. As it is very briefly mentioned, we do not anticipate this being a core offering for them. In addition, we anticipate them offering a very standard sports betting platform with no novel features. Their token is also highly likely to be graded as a security given periodic dividends. They do not have the social side that FansUnite possesses, nor I we suspect them to be industry leaders in the sports betting world, as we intend to be.

For FansUnite Token holders, we expect that they will realize an appreciation in purchasing power.  FansUnite has assembled a world-class team of growth hackers (check out one of our team members, Shafin Tejani for reference), as well as a renowned marketing team that has much experience in targeting the demographic that FansUnite will cater to (Has done extensive marketing for FanDuel and knows exactly where this demographic resides). Further, in the next few days we will be announcing some more details regarding our machine learning partnerships and in-house developments that will aid the actual operation of the sportsbook.

The benefit of holding the tokens is that there will be an appreciation in purchasing power of the token. The benefit of actually utilizing the token is that you have the best opportunity to make money betting on sports that has been presented, and you will be eligible for our Community Incentive Plan, which rewards our most valued members with additional FansUnite Tokens.

Very interesting partnership. You're going to be using machine learning to more accurately predict betting odds?

Yes, we will be. We've tested it over a number of sports, and SaberCruncher has been doing it for years now. It is one reason that we can confidently offer our industry low 1% margin. There will be more articles expounding on this coming out in the next week so that you guys can see why we are confident in our abilities to produce.

You need all the advantages you can get with such a low margin. What if it turns out to be unprofitable? Would you consider bumping to 1.5%? Pretty sure that still puts you below everyone else.

I don't think we would, but I can't speak for everyone on the team, nor can I speak for the community, but personally I would not move from the 1% margin. It's not our intention to be a super profitable company, however. Our value will derive from the appreciation in purchasing power of the token, not from being outrageously profitable. Our goal is to cover our operating costs, perhaps a bit more, and for there to me massive demand for our token. This would reward our community, early adopters, and ourselves. That is our end game.

All of that being said, I am very confident we will be able to operate with these low margins. Not only have I seen under the hood of SaberCruncher and their ability to accurately create industry leading sharp lines, but we are also in talks with another group that would only complement our existing capabilities. For a company such as ours to make claims of welcoming winners, not limiting individuals, and welcoming arbitrage betting, we need to be extremely certain in our ability to deliver.
