Do you know what Bounty means?
Each bounty thread explains the rewards for certain jobs. The same applies to translations.

For your example there is a bounty thread here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2057124

Quote
Translation and Moderation Bounty:

Earn NIMFA Tokens as Reward By Translating NIMFA Project’s Whitepaper, Announcement Thread and Moderating and Managing the thread. Keeping that active by Posting regular updates, news announcements from official thread, facebook and twitter.

In addition to 'Bounties (Altcoins)' you have 'Services' thread where you can find translation bounties for which you can get payment directly in bitcoins.

Thanks a lot!

Here is one bounty from the 'Services' section: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2206047.0
You can try to apply as I can see that there are no translators for the Dutch language yet. The reward is $30 in bitcoins for accepted translators. You will find the application form in the description.

Because they may lost their slot if they already doing it because if they don't they maybe wasted their time so if you want to do that post in the comments reserve (language) translation.

People reserve translations because that mostly can be found in the altcoin discussion then they are doing that because there is a reward for translation and that is how they can get a part or a small portion of the bounty program. It is all about the altcoin that they might get and that is why there is a lot of people that are getting into bounty campaigns like translating.

I disagree. People offer their services and receive compensation in return. There is nothing wrong with that and I wouldn't call it begging.
If you ever tried, you would realize that it is not as easy as it seems.

Thats right because there are many applicants too. If you make reservations, at least you are first in the line to do the said job. Usually Devs and or campaign manager selects the candidate, thats why applicants are showing their portfolio from previous  job they've done.

I think people mostly reserve translations if they want to translate from english to really a popular language. And, it's true, that it's a good opportunity for the campaign manager to check the previous experience of that person.

For the bounty ofcourse. And it's really annoying. I hope this can also be moderated as there are crooks who uses google translate to cheat the bounty.

If you are good at multilingual, you can search for translations of things you know. On the IOC websites they are developing they are looking for people who can translate in more languages for better development on the multinational. You can find it on this forum in the topic service  Grin Grin

It is advantage for both side, the translator got paid, and the developer got more advertisement in local, so it is not a beggar bounty, they reserved it because it is easy to get this job, so first come first serve, you will find this a lot in ICO announcement section, where the coin developer want to launch a new coin, they need to advertised in all area

I wonder how one could check the accuracy of ...to say...Indonesian translation if he/she is only English speaker? This is what I can't understand. Im good Russian speaker and translator, I can offer my services to any project but how could they really understand the quality of my translation? Do they need to find a special native language speaker to double check or what?

because they will offer ideas from ico projects that speak the language accordingly. to invite local investment in the translated country. it is very important for the continuity of an ico project.

That must be really difficult to make such kind of translations. The level should be really high, shouldn't it?
