I think this is quite possible. for many bitcoins, it was successful, selling a new BCC, especially when it reached $ 1200 per piece. If this happens again, it will be very healthy. I'm for fork of this type. It is very profitable.

I sill have some Bitcoin Cash in my Coinbase vault waiting for Coinbase to add support so I can do something with it. They've suggested maybe by January. I appreciate their attention to detail here and their intention to do the right thing, but it's a long time to deny a customer their property which they technically have in their possession. What if Bitcoin Cash crashes by then? Coinbase customers would miss out on a significant dividend.

And how will they handle the Bitcoin Gold fork? Has anyone heard how any of the exchanges will handle the fork? Have any announced plans to release it or add support for their customers?

The surest way to participate in these forks is to keep your BTC in your own wallet with you holding the private key.

it is seems that Bitcoin cash are having a sibling in a lighter version, and if im correct in my understanding Bitcoin Gold will be mine using just a building GPU of a Desktop? (correct me if im wrong) But I think this one way to prevent another crash or a bubble in bitcoin as it will divided the crypto community of bitcoin users. Lets give it a chance to see how it will play the game when it launch. If this will be successful surely bitcoin users will be divided if not bitcoin price will increase in may estimation around 20% to 30% by this year to january. Lets all watch it GUYS

First Cash, Now Gold? Another Bitcoin Hard Fork Is on the Way
is it TRUE?

what is this "Gold" that people have been talking about (and by people i mean brand new accounts like yourself making new topics).
all i could find that was closes was BitGold which is pretty old and it was nothing interesting at all.

so if you have any information please share it with proper links here

If i'm not mistaking it's just an altcoin that wants to ride on bitcoin's success by using bitcoin's name and just attaching "gold" at the end.
I can't find the website in my browser's history, but if i'm correct, it's an alt that switched to an algo that is currently only cpu/gpu minable.

It is an altcoin, but it is ultimately a bitcoin fork, which means it's not just some altcoin you are not related to as a bitcoin holder, because you are going to be receiving free coins. Some people like to call it "bitcoin dividends". Whatever, the point is, as a real bitcoin holder, you will get free coins in all these altcoin forks (Gold, BCash, 2xCoin..etc). You just need to dump them for free real Bitcoin, is that easy.

it seems so. I agree with you, there will be no real impact that will happen, they are more likely to duplicate bitcoin.

it is called "profitable" not "successful". and it has not been for everyone. many have not yet even heard about bitcoin cash to claim it and many who have heard are not capable of claiming it. you can see their blocks are completely empty now, it seems mostly like an abandoned altcoin these days Shocked

Don't cash out anything into fiat. The point is to dump the fake bitcoins to get more bitcoin and crush the price on the fake bitcoins while increasing your real bitcoin stack. If you own 1 BTC, now you will have a nice extra (I predict around 0.1 BTC given BCash prices if you get lucky). So 0.1 BTC is hard to make these days, I would save it in cold stare with your main stack.

Yes, it is, as it is published in different bitcoin articles like this one: http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/will-anyone-care-bitcoin-gold-come-october-25th/

However, I don't think it would be successful with the presence of bitcoin cash which was embraced by a many BTC users before. the only problem that I can see here is how bitcoin gold will compete with bitcoin cash considering that bitcoin cash is the very first altcoin being forked from bitcoin. Whatever happens, I'm sure that these two altcoins forked from bitcoin will have a great impact to each other.

yeah it's true, but dont think so much about it. The forks are not real bitcoins, they are simply altcoins with a headstart. It doesn't matter how many times bitcoin is forked. If no one wants to own those new altcoins, they just wasted their energy.
look at bch, it's one major epic fail.

stick to the real chain!!

it is a free market, you can't really blame them for making some crap and you can't crash the price.
take a look at years of altcoin existence and see how they have done. those altcoins that had something to offer stayer around and even had a long term rise. but those altcoins that didn't have anything to offer, came in and make a lot of noise and got pumped in short term. they even reached higher prices than bitcoin but they never last in the long term. they die a slow death and eventually be forgotten.

I can already see what will be happening this time around. A lot of people got some FREE Bitcoin Cash, based on the amount of Bitcoin they held on the day of the fork. So if this is going to happen again, a lot of people will be better prepared for this, by buying
some bitcoins before this fork happens.

I predict a sharp increase in the price of Bitcoin, building up to this event. ^hmmmmm^

2x supporter claim that 2x is what bitcoin must be, according to satoshi idea about it. Bcause they said this core is backed by government.
Whatever, it's good to get free coin. what i know is all coin beside bitcoin is altcoin.
I only want to know who will win and get 1000 btc in bet between Roger Ver and Charlie Lee

The problem with forks is that accessing your coins is not easy and can take weeks / months after the fork.   Pulling bitcoin cash off of paper wallet cold storage is still, months later, a convoluted, difficult process.   And potentially risky.

You need clients, and wallets, and infrastructure if you even want to cash out the "new coin".

As I know hard fork 2 will be happened on 25th October. After the 1st hard fork on 1st August Bitcoin price has increased very quickly from more than 2k$ per Bitcoin to more than 4k$ in few days. I hope that after 2nd hard fork on 25th October it'll be the same with what happened after the hard fork on 1st August maybe Bitcoin price will get over 5k$ after the up coming hard fork Smiley
i hope so, after august 1st bitcoin price skyrocket to 4k+ if china doesn't band bitcoin the price will be 6k right now. we all hope this fork bring more fresh air to bitcoin orice that too long in the bottom

This was also my question few days ago. Don't really have much knowledge about fork but I just hope this will bring something that is advantageous for BTC holders just like what happened last fork.
I a gree with you,
we can only hope that a good thing will happen after the 2nd hard fork, hoping the same as happened on the 1st austral fork where the btc price will increase.

Do anyone know the exact date when segwitx2 signaling will start or locks in? Any guide or blog post with important dates will be appreciated.
