Bitcoin should definitely be one of your favorites since it dictates the entire market currently and is more stable relative to many of the alt coins circulating. If I could only hold one coin that had to be locked up for 1+ year it would be bitcoin, followed by ethereum. It's important to not get too emotionally tied to any one currency though and just keep a close eye on the current state of the project and the cryptocurrency market in general.

My favorite coin is Bitcoin and it is the world's most stable crypto. I also like ethereum and monero as both of them are very progressive coins which can show really good growth in future.

AUC (Auctus.org) is the one i'm following right now. They jus announced integration with 0x protocol and migrating to rocket platform together with Aragon, OmiseGO, Golem and others. Definitely worth a look.
