This may have been asked before, but I have not seen it. I guess many of you will try (and fail) to be funny with all sorts of jokes, but it would be interesting to know what kind of people are here right now.
Feel free to add your location too.

I'm 23 years old.
I first heard of Bitcoin by a friend of mine since he had lots of computers running and I had no idea why! So I asked him, and then he explained Bitcoins to me!

I'm from the UK, over 30, and had read about Bitcoins here and there. Ordered a Butterfly Lab Jalapeno, but of course I don't have it yet. Started to get serious after the Cypriot banking crisis. Have been lurking around these boards for about 3 months now.

Oh, yes, mining Bitcoins seems a good excuse to buy cool hardware  Smiley

Toward the end of March. I have thought about selling my pre-order on eBay, but that's not very interesting. Of course, by the time the device arrives it may be little more than an expensive doorstop!

ok, i guess that might take some time... i'm trying the other way by having stepped into a group buy for Avalon ASICS and hoping for soon delivery and assembly by some of the specialists in this forum...
by the time you receive your jalapeno, this might work for me too...
doubt it being just a brick in the door to stumble over - at least not yet this year...  Wink

Over 40 and I wanted a new motorbike!

In February, Bitcoins seemed to be waking the news, and I though it might be a good place to put my money if I was planning to save it and buy a motorbike at the end of the year!

As it happened, the price went silly very quickly afterwards, and I was able to take out what I had saved, leaving in 5 times as much as I had started with - so bitcoins for me now is about the potential, and eventually buying a brand new motorbike! Wink

I love the technical stuff, hate the politics, and think what we have here is possibly the 21st century version of the HomeBrew Computer Club - I'm glad I am a member! Wink
