I just became aware of Bittrex when searching for a place to purchase some Ripple. I was wondering if this is the best option or place to buy from for that currency?
I was also going to pick up some more BTC and Ether but was planning on using GDAX for the first time. Now I see that i can purchase all through Bittrex. Is one better than the other? would I be better off using Bittrex for Ripple and GDAX for BTC/ETH? I want to make sure i make a safe educated purchase before pulling the trigger. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If Im way off with the sites i was going to use Im definitely open to recommendations as well.

Does anyone know if you can transfer from ether of these sites into blockchain for Ether/BTC for holding your currency? I have been searching high and low for the answer.

Thanks

as what I'm reading inside this forum and also reading after searching about this exchange I seen more people are satisfied than those who's
frustrated due to there own experiences I guess its better way asking people around here who already using the platform to have their own
opinion is a good way to learn.

You can do whatever you want to with the coins you bought on the exchange, but be aware that if you withdraw coins a fee of xx% will be taken out by the exchange.

newbie here. I have been using bittrex for a little while now and no issues. I buy BTC from another site and deposit into bittrex and then, purchase other cryptos for fun.

Well you will have to be very particular about which coins you are going to buy. Like Ethereum , mostly everyone knew that Ethereum has a future and will surely be a successful coin. Like 6 months back the price of 1 ETH was like 11 USD and today I has touched like 400 USD (approx). So I feel that after Ethereum if there is any other coin then it is Monero (XMR). I personally feel that I might buy a bunch of Monero now and then after few years I'll see my wallet and would be very much astonished to see it.

Bittrex has probably the most number of coins to choose from so best exchange from that point.
For some smaller altcoins not on bittrex, use cryptopia.
GDAX(Coinbase) is good for transferring your fiat currency in and buy BTC/ETH/LTC with it. After that, send that
BTC/ETH/LTC over to bittrex and buy whatever altcoins you want. That's how I'm using it mostly.

If i understood what i read correctly there is now a way on bitterx to exchange one coin for another which i believe is really just selling one by them on the open market and purchasing another coin you requested. i will see if i can find where i thought i read that. I looked at quite a few sites this am so hopefully im not confusing that.

Here it is. If you click on "the lab" drop down it will talk about "any2any".

Any2Any allows you to easily convert one digital currency to another by market selling one currency and market buying the other.

The price is not guaranteed. It is an estimate based on the current orderbook
You may have some dust left over from the trades
    The standard trade fees apply

Any2Any is being retooled. Thanks for your feedback!

WONDERFUL I was just looked at how to purchase through them. It says only choice via bank wire. Then it has in red letters "wire transfer closed" since may. I guess Im going to have to jump through hurdles still and buy somewhere else like GDAX and then transfer to them if there is a coin they have i want. I guess its not a one stop shop.

Yes you are right, you can’t buy cryptocurrencies with Fiat even in bigger exchange such as Bittrex or Poloniex. At this moment, Coin check accept fiat deposit in JPY but there are quite a number of complaints of poor support.

Or you can just buy ripples on Poloniex, i really like that exchange because you can do it fast and easy, you dont have the obligation to put your ID in order to be able to buy some cryptos.
But yes, ripples is in the top 5, so you can buy it in almost all the exchanges that are on the internet right now. But check it on coinmarketcap.com, it will tell you where it is more cheap to buy them.

does litebit/etherum limit your buys? $500 on coinbase a wk wont do it for me until i can upload an acceptable id by their standards.

Also, is this the etherum site you use to purchase through? https://ethereum.org/

Thanks alot!

Does anyone know if you can transfer from ether of these sites into blockchain for Ether/BTC for holding your currency? I have been searching high and low for the answer.

I've never had a problem with Bittrex, they're a good solid choice for currency exchange.

And yes, any exchange will allow you to send money blockchain>exchange or vice versa. Is that your question?
All exchanges have the necessary wallets for the currencies they offer, you have to make a new address for yourself
in your account so they know where the money should go.

It look me like 90 days to get my maximum deposit above $500 on coinbase, even though I followed all their rules and did the ID verify.  It kept saying "to increase your maximum, verify your ID" ... "to increase your maximum, buy $1000 worth of currency" ... then after a while, it just said, "to increase your maximum, wait 90 days" ... plus, my bank charges me international fee to use them, even though they are based in California...

So yeah, if anyone has a better way to move fiat into crypto, I'm interested, too.
