How come I keep seeing posts that just say "reserved"

I keep coming across posts that just say "reserved" and nothing else.  What's up with that?

no, it's generally the first reply to an OP.  this allows the OP to go in and edit something and have it appear near the top of his post.  OFetn seen in sales threads and the like where relevant info should be toward the top, but the OP doesn't want to edit the original listing lest someone accuse him of changing it/scamming.
