Please bear with me as I am new to all this. I downloaded the Bitcoin plus wallet a few weeks ago. I am unsure what some of these terms mean.
At the bottom right corner of my wallet it shows 26 connections to the Bitcoin plus network, TOR Network,
then it has an arrow when hovered over it pops up (Staking - your weight is 1) network weight is 12095 and then expected time to earn a reward is 8 days.
So my questions are:
what exactly is staking?
what does it mean weight?
Also eight days seems like a long time is this typical. I think I had read something about increasing the amount of coins in my wallet which in turn accelerates this ... not sure.

Thanks in advance  Smiley
