Why is Kraken the only exchange with a USDT/fiat trading pair?

Why is Kraken the only exchange that offers a USDT/fiat (USDT/USD to be exact) trading pair?
Due to the peg to dollar this trading pair offers some unique trading strategies that
are not possible with any other altcoin.

Has anybody an idea why exchanges like Bitstamp haven´t introduced USDT trading pairs?
Adoption of USDT has grown significantly since Bittrex and Poloniex started using it
as a fiat equivalent.

I don't know but it does not like good at all usdt/usd and it does not matter much , turn your usdt to a coin and sell it for usd for example if you use coinbase.

You misunderstood my intention.

I know how it is possible to get rid of USDT. However, I´m not interested in selling my USDT, I trade the fluctuations
at Kraken (it hovers around the 1:1 peg depending on demand for USDT and BTC price development).

I need more exchanges like Kraken that allow me to trade a USDT/USD trading pair. Or even
a USDT/EUR trading pair would be a nice addition.

USDT is unofficially supposed to be worth 1 USD. in other words having a market to trade and assume there is fluctuations is against the very nature of this coin since technically speaking it should not move from 1 USD at all.

also adding such market can also cause fluctuations.

Maybe because the founder of it is an business man or a bank that is centralized that has taken an interest in the world of crypto currency. Well this is just some conpiracy theory so dont take it seriously. Kraken is not the only that is peg to USD there are also other crypto and altcoin that lets you exchange to USD likr steemit and bitcoin or maybe that also depends on the exchange itself whether they like to support an exchangr between altcoins and fiat.

Well, Kraken wasn´t deterred by these concerns 

I agree that fluctuations are against the very nature of this coin. However, fluctuations do happen
like when BTC is going to the moon again everyone sells their USDT in order to buy BTC, which
causes the Tether exchange rate to drop below 1 $ (because it doesn´t really matter
if you lose a fraction of your USDT value when you are making big profits buy buying into
a BTC bull run anyway).

Because to supply some times someone wanna buy USDT to get an equal with their early amount rather than buy the altcoin directly, Because that will be safe rather than buy the altcoin directly and you will be able to get dump anytime. Kraken is the only one that provide USDT into the fiat pair. That was my opinion regarding the USDT/fiat pair.

There are regulation that goes with taking public fiat in US. You have to follow those regulations including that if sec. If you are caught operating without proper licenses, you could go to jail for a long time.
