Yes, that's correct.

Every two weeks you level up 14 points as long as you've made 14 posts during that time frame.

Am I understanding correctly when it states I can only gain 14 activity points every 2 weeks?

additional knowledge  here's how it works first you need 14 days to update your rank to jr. member, then in that 14 days you need to have 30 activities every 14 days they will update your rank it depends how many activities you have.

And for this to become Jr. Member you need to have 30 activities
Member:          60 activity
Full Member:    120 activity
Sr. Member:      240 activity
Hero:               480 activity
Legendary:       I thing above 700 and up.

Hope you get some ideas here...

Legendary is awarded randomly between 775 and 1305, there is a post that both answers this question and outlines the limits of activity:

It's an interesting system... I have a small question too... I need 30 points to become Jr member... Let's say I've made 100 posts during my first week on forum.. And there is a situation how my activity is changing:

time   activity
1   14
2   28
3   42

When could I become Jr. member? I have two options:
1) right when 3d period will be started
2) when the 3d period will be finished

This is because the forums administrators have anti-spam and sudden activity increases in a short time. Because high rankers will be selected into signature campaigns  Angry

Yes, look at here:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)
Be careful about this time. The time is your first post time, not your register time.
But, I have a ideal, if we can get more activity, if we are more activity in this forum.

Yes that's right, from the time you create your you only have 14 activity to be done, even you have made 20 posts, your activity remains in 14, wait for the updates(every 2 week) to be added your account of 14 activity again. So every updates your activity are increase or to be added a 14 activity. So to be rank up , newbie - Jr. Member you need to have at least 30 activity to rank up and become Jr. Member.

Jr. Member = 30 activity
Member =  60 activity
Full member = 120 activity
Sr. Member = 240 activity
Hero member = 480 activity
Legendary = 860 activity

That is not 100% true. The way admin set up activity system has nothing to do with signature campaign. The activity was already set long before signature campaign exist in Bitcointalk. Activity was meant to reward users who make post regularly, not who make a lot of posts in a small timeframe or someone who's active but not making post (silent reader).

time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

So if you have lower than 14 posts in the 2 past weeks , you will get number activity = number of posts. Normally, its 14

Please i want to ask, since you need 14 activities or posts fir every two weeks, what happens to the rest after the two weeks (say if i have 30 activities). Do they go waste after the two weeks?

The way activity is calculated:

The activity number is determined in this way:
time = number of two-week periods in which you've posted since your registration
activity = min(time * 14, posts)

Activity is updated every hour.

Yes, that's correct.

Every two weeks you level up 14 points as long as you've made 14 posts during that time frame.

There are so many interesting topics to discuss that it's easy to do more than 14 posts, isn't it?  Wink
