save your wallet and delete madcoin directory form APPDATA and start the client again |

and if installing the new wallet, all I need is just to back up the wallet.dat and not any other files?

yes you need just to re install your windows wallet , and keep your wallet.dat Just reinstalled (without uninstall from old version) and re run wallet. still cannot sync, stop at 3 days old behind. Any new nodes to add? |
