Hello folks,

I recently purchase my first budget rig, here the specs:

Corsair HX850 850W 80 Plus Platinum Modular
MSI GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GT OC 4GB GDDR5 x 8 units
Kingston HyperX Fury DDR4 2133 PC4-17000 4GB CL14
Kingston SSDNow UV400 120GB SATA3 (PN: SUV400S37/120G)
Asrock H110 Pro BTC+
Sandisk Ultra Fit 32GB USB 3.0

https://imgur.com/TXeoFkk

So, lets specify the problem...

I install simpleminer OS in a usb drive, the mobo has been updated with the last bios. I tried to run everything but it crash in a certain moment, so this is the steps i've tried:

- Check each GPU individually, it crashes when i use more than 2 GPUs.
- Changing all risers and cables.
- Add a second PSU.
- Change PCIE in bios to Gen 1 and Gen 2. 4G was enable.
- Flash again the simpleminer OS.
- Protect with electric tape the risers (common problem on this asrock, to close pci slots, risers could touch each others).
- try different cables on the PSU.
- Also tried Windows, same problem.
- Load default settings on asrock bios.
- Tried different pcie slots with same result.

Let you few screenshots, Error message on simpleminer:

All the GPU are recognized, but i don't know why everything crash and reboot. The PSU in theory as to be more than enough to run this cards and system, as i mentioned before, i try to add an extra psu but i got the same problem.

Hope you can help finding a solution, all the hardware is brand new.

Thank you very much!

Regards!

Hello. Links are dead.

I've git the same Mobo as you.
First of all, do not change anything on the BIOS. The mbo os ready for mining out on the box.

I survive a problem like yours.
The problem was the power.
If i power the risers with sata, does not work. Instead i power all with six pins. Try this.
I'm using Windows 10, home edition v1706 (i think...its the last one).

Hello,

The links are working for me, how i can do?

I don't have enough PCIe 6 pin conectors on this PSU, i got 2 of the cards runing with SATA + adapter 6 pins, with two different cables.

I erase the OC setting on simpleminer, set defaults value and it seems to work, i can raise the memory but if i enter a negative value on core it wont work...

Any guess?

Thank you!

Regards!

I still can't see what error you are getting, I'm having an issue as well with the same mobo. (my miner runs for 4-6 hours, then crashes to a TDR - nvlddmkm error).

The links won't work for me, can you use imgur or imgbb ?

I think you might need the HDMI stubs.
I'm all AMD but I think Nvidia needs the HDMI passthrough or a monitor connected to work properly.
I love your rig though. It looks awesome.

HDMI stubs are what are put into the wall to connect HDMI lines? not sure why someone would use them for their nvidia card?

Ok, thank you, but whats the point?

I've been runing the system all night, no restarting, seems to be more or less stable. This is the parameters i put on simpleminer:

Core MHz:
Memory MHz: 900
Power Limit (watt): 30
Target Temperature ℃:
78
Minimum Fan speed %:
30

I've tried many times lower the core with negative value but it wont work, it crash when mining, even with -1.

Thanks for your help guys!

Regards,
