STARTS AT 2 PM EST LIVE!

Ethereum match, simple social experiment. Because game theory is fun Smiley

- If you send ETH in the exact same amount as the contract balance, you get yours back plus half the contract balance (minus 5%).
- If you send ETH *NOT* in the exact same amount as the contract balance (i.e. someone else beat you to the punch), current Matchmaster gets to keep it (minus 5%).
- Any time the contract balance falls below the "mastery threshold" (10 finney aka .01 ETH), someone else can become new Matchmaster by sending >= 10 finney w/ a mastery() tx, and they will then receive the Matchmaster payouts.

Notes:
Actual gas cost should be 42000 but you can send w/ higher gas limit if you want (remember any overages are auto-returned).

You can see the verified code here.

If you want to play, send your tx now!

Still available! Current balance is .04 ETH... FREE .02 ETH up for grabs for the first maker!

Surprised no one has claimed this after 45 minutes, I expected it to be taken immediately since you can verify the code in the maker() function! Smiley

So wait, this newbie who just made his first posts (this thread) tells me to send him Ether to win the pot?

I too wonder why nobody has claimed this yet..

And how does this classify as a social experiment?

In case you weren't aware... as I stated in the OP... you can literally see the exact (verified) contract code. That is kinda the whole point behind ethereum... you don't have to trust anyone, you only have to look at the code and you know it will do what it says it will.

Anyhow, I made 2 test tx here and here to show the inputs and outputs. As you can see, they are exactly as stated.

And how does this classify as a social experiment?
Because I am interested in the game theory behind the contract, i.e., how people will respond and play the game (if at all!).

The ETH is still up for grabs...
