GOG.com is a site dedicated to offering DRM free games, legally from well-known mainstream publishers such as Activision, or Ubisoft; as well as indie developers such as CD Projekt (the guys who made The Witcher game series) I've created a detailed post on their site feature requests, asking for them to accept Bitcoin, as well as explaining payment services like BitPay and Coinbase: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/the_ability_to_purchase_games_via_bitcoinIf people sign up, and upvote this, we might just see an option for Bitcoin available at GOG. We have no immediate plans to introduce new payment methods in the near future, but we will look into introducing more localized payment services in the long-term future.
Right now the only convenient way to purchase games on GOG.com without having a credit card is PayPal. You should be able to send funds to a PayPal account directly from a bank account, and then use those funds to buy games on our site.

The petition is still going on so please vote if you want to buy games with Bitcoins. They sometimes have very good offers on new games as well, this weekend they had Witcher 3 for $24.

Weird to see this topic from 2013 being revived, but it's acceptable in this case, people are still adding lots of comments now in 2016. Has there been a new reply from GOG themselves about this? We might be able to make it happen if enough people here go over there and make a comment about it! |

I knew this site before even though I never actually buy something there, but if there's a thing that supports Bitcoin in the gaming industry I will definitely support that. I'm sure that we certainly can do this, just like what we did before with Steam.

Would be great to see another place accept bitcoin  But, steam and origin dominate the and only few people who know/use GOG. Also, steam provide various currency and publisher/developer usually give cheaper price to 2nd/3rd country compared with GOG.com Gog has a really nice niche market for older games specifically and I've mentioned Steam and G2A in my mail to them, always a good idea to mention that their competitors are offering more features than them |
