I've received a reply from GOG, it's not what I had hoped for, but here it is:

I still hope that they would consider adding Bitcoin in the future though.

well everything is possible in the future, if it will become really mainstream and a lot of companies will add them then they will also accept it

Voted, I hope they will accept btc payments in the future. I hope all forum members will support this ans vote.
I like this kind of things where we can help each other and bitcoin community. If they see enough interested people they will start to accept btc.
Good luck too all of us!

While GOG didn't and still don't accept bitcoin, then its rival Steam accepts bitcoin which makes them one step ahead.

Wearing the signature that is mentioned in the first posts is worthless and don't make any differences.

P.S just voted there and at the moment it has 960 votes.

Nice to see that so many people are still voting, I might send them another message in a few weeks and post the link to that petition to show them the support.
But I'll be careful not to spam them Smiley

GOG.com is a site dedicated to offering DRM free games, legally from well-known mainstream publishers such as Activision, or Ubisoft; as well as indie developers such as CD Projekt (the guys who made The Witcher game series)
I've created a detailed post on their site feature requests, asking for them to accept Bitcoin, as well as explaining payment services like BitPay and Coinbase:
http://www.gog.com/wishlist/site/the_ability_to_purchase_games_via_bitcoin

If people sign up, and upvote this, we might just see an option for Bitcoin available at GOG.

To help gain support for this, you can place a link to this thread in your signature:
Let's get GOG.com to accept Bitcoin

It is a pretty tiny button, heh.  Guess it partly depends on your screen res.  It's that little "plus" just under the (now I've voted) 961.

Never been a fan of Steam, so it's a pity they're one of the companies that decided to opt for BTC when I'm never going to buy from them.  GOG, however, are fantastic.

One of my friends tried this on a game forum a while ago, and he was banned for 1 year. Some people are very hostile when it comes to Bitcoin. Bitcoin has built up quite a bad reputation over the

years, and a lot of people have lost a lot of money in the hacking of exchanges. So you are either going to be lucky or you will find one of these sites where they are open to these suggestions. I voted

yes, but I have had some bad experiences with people calling it a scam. One email will not turn these people, but when 1000's start asking for this, they might change their minds.  Grin
