This forum is about bitcoin and to discuss about it. While I appreciate the effort of people asking such questions but it raises my doubt about how much they are involved in crypto themselves. If you have been following the markets since its launch then it is seen that the bitcoin price has been always having an uptrend. It is due to the news that makes panic sellers dump their coins to dip the market and that opportunity is grasped by the big whales who know that buying bitcoin will be profitable in future. Bitcoin is a threat to banks and so people try to defame it but that does not mean bitcoin is not profitable to buy and sell. However the last decision lies in the owners hands whether they really want to invest in bitcoin or not.

Bitcoin is a New Era and also the Bubble.
that is the answer for your question, everybody have their own opinion about Bitcoin existence.
but if you're viewing it from their mission and roadmap,it should be a new era for people to do the trade across the world in a sec.
but if you're seeing it from economy and financial it should be a Bubble, because the price keep increasing from time to time several fold from before.
so it's your choice which side it will be ?
in my opinion there're no difference between New Era and Bubble,

It seems to me that the future of bitcoin is not yet defined. You are talking about 2 possible scenarios. some of them will become reality depends on us. If bitcoin will remain a tool for investment it will turn into a bubble. If the money will work on the development of economy and trade we are waiting for a bright future.

It has been discussed many times already. A simple search would give you the answer specially regarding bitcoin bubble. Since 2011, there have been numerous threads about it. But if you are asking about new era, yes its a new era because we haven't seen anything like it before. And there are risk involved in investing in bitcoin because the price is very unstable. But as trader or investors its up to you on how you manage this volatility, you can either hodl in for long term or sell it to take profits.

I don't think we're not in a bubble even though lots of people says we're in so. We can simply check the attention to the bitcoin from capital ventures. Unstability doesn't mean or indicate bubble always.

No one can predict the scenario of what's gonna happen in the future of bitcoin but there are two things that might happen it is either bitcoin's gonna proceed to the moon or bitcoin will have to say goodbye, we can surely never know what will happen, but for now I think holding is the best thing to do for now.

Yep. It even goes beyond that. For example we are in a 5 thousand year gold bubble. Gold is just a shinny rock driven by speculation, one day it will be valueless again.

The ban on China clearly represents a new era, the post-Governmental ban on Bitcoin era, and it is obviously a very bullish one, since it means we have recovered from the ban of the allegedly biggest player on Bitcoin.

If we can survive that, im certain we can survive anything. CEO of JP Morgan also got proven wrong once again, and was caught buying the dip.

Holders win another day.

Nobody can ignore the big role of the btc in the world. I think we all should accept that the btc is a new era, the articles, miners, news, transactions and more and more. But, is that just a bubble? Maybe yes or maybe not. The time will show that. We can not expect that all the currencies we invest will always provide us big profits. We will patiently wait and see the new prices to see its uncertain future.

BTC is not a bubble for sure, it is still like internet during 60s. Many people still don't know basic of bitcoin and when they will jump into bitcoin train than marketcap of bitcoin can grow to $1 trillion+.

Many newbie investors are just buying bitcoin on peak prices but when price will dump or corrected by like 10% or more than sell their bitcoin for loss being panic. Most of them don't know how to hedge against unpredictable market moves.

Well bitcoin has started the new era of digital money, but i think that its price is so overrated, i mean, more than 400% in this year, and that roi is insane.. i remember that it was below $700 in January, so it has rised a lot. Anyway, i dont think we are in a "bubble" , but the price is so high, and it needs to crash a bit, but i really hope that it is not going to happen, we would not like seeing bitcoin crash.

Cryptocurrency market is quite uncertain thats why there is huge potential for profit along with huge risk of loss.
What most of the new investors don't understand is that price can't keep going up everyday, they should sell on peak and buy back at dump.

Cryptocurrencies have been around for 8 years now and personally I think it is here to stay. However, while Bitcoin itself has probably ushered in a new era, it might get overtaken by alts in the (near) future. While BTC has grown enormously this year, it has lost terrain to some emerging alts.
I don't believe BTC is a bubble in the sense that the value will make a sharp nosedive on the longer term.

Internet like during '60s? lol more like internet during the year 2000.
It could just keep going up, or it could dump like a f'g bad burrito but I believe in either case it will be worth much more in 3 years than now.

Both. I think that price is probably going to correct itself soon but at the same time, we can see an new era for bitcoin emerging for sure. It's not just one or another, when there is a bubble, people get interested in bitcoin and we actually get a lot more people on board.

But as i said, this could be a bubble and may pop. Who knows when.

I can't say Bitcoin is a just a bubble but can't say it's a new era either. I don't think Bitcoin will be as much popular as we are hoping. I think it will be somehow a marginal system of payment.

Also, have you noticed how blockchain (which has by far more potential than Bitcoin) is getting more massively adopted for different industries around us? In a near future, we will use blockchain without knowing it. Bitcoin is not getting the attraction that blockchain has

Bitcoin is always evolving and gaining adopters, so therefore it is basically making new eras every single year.

However, is it really a bubble? Personally looking from now, i do think so. However, i don't think that the bubble is necessarily going to pop any time soon. The demand for bitcoin is so huge at the moment that even when exchanges shut down, prices are still going up.

I'd expect bullishness to continue to at least january, february next year.
