Mining coins on a browser is becoming a new trend. I think mostly we faucet lovers like this new way of making small amount of coins. Also, people who never had a chance to mine coin  likes this opportunity. I can´t help but wonder if this new way of "making money" can replace the faucet sites, or is it just going to be an additional market. Another thing is that the mining on a browser is new and most of us haven´t received the last electricity bill yet. Is this browser mining thing going to make a significant difference? Please share you thoughts.

When people burn out their CPU's or suddenly see find out the electicity bill is realy high, they will stay away.

More probable is this script going to be flagged by google and your browser is going togive you a warning with a big red screen before entering website.

Not becouse this script might be harmfull and might even change a little over time sending information back you dont want sent.

but,

websites are using this script without visitors consent.

I think only big players can make something from this and regular faucet user can only get few satoshi and problems with CPU.If sites/faucets offer this as option I have nothing against it-users will try and see is there any profit for them, but many hide it from users and use their CPU and this is not fair.

I notice that few faucets who relied only on this web mining are down with balance,so I think there is no future in this.Since most of faucet users come from undeveloped countries they have very low performance computers and when they use browser mining any normal work on computer is almost impossible.

Taking into account the power supply&hardware and reward user get, in my opinion there is no any profit for small users.Every user can make more coins just by using faucets.

I agree with you.
I found a russian site (forget name right now) where they advice you about the brownser mining running, and give the option to high, low, or turn off this mining. I think Its a great idea, but only great computers have some risk and some return.
If some one make a faucet, with clear infos, or a separated page, can get more brownser miners, without lose views, like freebitcoin are doing right now.
They also using this to get more rewards and give rewards too, and have the same option that the russian website.
I copy the link whos appear to me and post here, sorry if this is a ref link, this is not my intention -> <https://mining.freebitco.in/mining.html?userid=242230&auth=961b49f4a05fa861017b8575c8fc33fe2323e6e1c77bf81e84405ba8e5a2c293>

Yes, that is all. The common faucet user is a guy without skills, without decent computer/laptop/mobile. So he is worthless for Crypto-Currency mining. I believe this new trend is in beta test yet, some developers are testing how worthful it can be, but there aren't concrete results yet.

If we take in consideration the common user this idea won't go ahead. The normal faucets are more profitable for usrs and the ads banners are more profitable for faucet owners to generate income to pay users.

There are some exceptions, like newbies on Crypto-Currency world. Some of them could have some powerful machines that could make this activity worth, but not enough to make all the system sustainable for all users.

I tried one of those minings today... 8 satoshi in about 45 minutes lol.... and that is without deducting the amount spent on electricity. Really a waste of time.

Not worth it at all. Fauceting is still more profitable.

Yeah right? - I don't know of course where everybody is from - but for me in western Europe it's ~60cents (€) per kw/h - so i effectively loose a lot of money if i'd use it.
Not to mention the massive slowdown, fan-party and stress on my notebook...

The real question should be why people don't realize that themselves and why do rather trusted platforms like faucet hub not provide calculators.
Giving the option is fine, if proper disclosed...

...also tons websites don't work correctly if coin-hive is blocked -.-'

I won't even go into the cases where the script is run in the background

So everybody just say away from that please!
